TL;DR: In this paper, the application of Walsh functions to the time-domain synthesis problem is discussed, i.e., the determination of a suitable internal structure for a system from its prescribed external (input/output) behaviour.
Abstract: The paper deals with the application of Walsh functions to the time-domain-synthesis problem, i.e., the determination of a suitable internal structure for a system from its prescribed external (input/output) behaviour. The method is based on repeated integration, and a new operational matrix, which relates Walsh functions and their integrations, is defined. Examples of transfer-function and state-equation synthesis are used to illustrate the technique.

TL;DR: In this article, a new perturbation method is developed for the problems of solidification of liquid in a plane coordinate system, which consists of immobilizing the moving boundary by Landau's transformation, replacing the time variable by the moving interface f (τ), and applying the regular parameter perturbations technique.

TL;DR: In this article, a generalised equation of separation applicable to the whole range of concentration in flat-plate thermal diffusion columns has been derived, which is obtained by replacing the product form of the concentration dependence with a linear approximation instead of a constant.

TL;DR: The structure of sydnone ring are both dipolar form and mesoionic form as discussed by the authors, and the repulsive bond order of the syd none ring between 2-and 4-positions is very high negative and the π-charge density carbon atom of position 4 is very small.

TL;DR: In this article, the irrational transfer function exp (− √s) which occurs in diffusion processes can be approximated by rational functions derived by using the Ritz method, and a comparison of the unit stop responses of the rational function approximates and the original function is illustrated.
Abstract: The irrational transfer function exp (− √s) which occurs in diffusion processes can be approximated by rational functions derived by using the Ritz method. Comparison of the unit stop responses of the rational function approximates and the original function is illustrated. It is shown that a fourth-order approximate gives satisfactory results.

TL;DR: In this paper, optimal modal feedback control laws are synthesized from the modal equations which are obtained by eigenfunction expansion of the diffusion equation systems with space-independent control, boundary control, and distributed control.
Abstract: Optimal modal feedback control laws are synthesized from the modal equations which are obtained by eigenfunction expansion of the diffusion equation systems with space-independent control, boundary control, and distributed control. Comparison between the modal feedback control laws and distributed feedback control laws are discussed. The results also indicate proper quadrature performance criteria for the synthesis of the distributed feedback control laws.
