01 Jun 2015TL;DR: This paper solves the precoding problem for physical layer security in a general multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wiretap channel by employing a successive convex approximation method, where the nonconvex part of the formulated problem is approximated by its first-order Taylor expansion.
Abstract: In this paper, we study the precoding problem for physical layer security in a general multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wiretap channel. Since the resultant secrecy capacity maximization (SCM) problem is nonconvex in general, we solve it by employing a successive convex approximation method, where the nonconvex part of the formulated problem is approximated by its first-order Taylor expansion. Thus, the SCM problem can be iteratively solved through convex programming of its convexified version. Finally, an iterative precoding algorithm with provable convergence is presented. Numerical simulations are also provided to verify the proposed algorithm.

01 Sep 2017TL;DR: Numerical results show that, increasing the altitude of DSCs does not necessarily improve coverage performance, and the optimal deployment density is obtained by determining the optimal coverage radius of a DSC.
Abstract: In this paper, we intend to study the optimal deployment density of drone small cells (DSCs) to achieve maximum coverage considering the inter-cell interference Due to the high altitude, the air-to-ground channel of DSCs consist of probabilistic line-of-sight (LoS) and non-line-of-sight (NLoS) links, causing computational difficulties in performance analysis To accurately analyze coverage performance, we calculate the cumulative inter-cell interference considering both LoS and NLoS links And we derive an approximate and closed-form expression for it to facilitate the computation of the optimal deployment density in a tractable way Given the altitude, the optimal deployment density is obtained by determining the optimal coverage radius of a DSC And numerical results show that, increasing the altitude of DSCs does not necessarily improve coverage performance

15 Nov 2019TL;DR: In this article, the effects of topological charge (TC), temperature gradient, and salinity on the transmission of the Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) beam in underwater turbulence are analyzed, and the optimum interval of TC for FOAM communication and their help for the improvement of system capacity are discussed.
Abstract: In the paper, we experimentally demonstrate the propagation property of Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) beams carrying fractional orbital angular momentum (FOAM) in an underwater environment. The effects of topological charge (TC), temperature gradient, and salinity on the transmission of the LG-FOAM beam in underwater turbulence are analyzed, and the optimum interval of TC for FOAM communication and their help for the improvement of system capacity are discussed. The results show that both the salinity and the temperature gradient have serious impacts on the beam, and meanwhile, the temperature gradient plays a heavier influence. Although the detection probability of one FOAM mode at the receiver side is lower than that nearest integer OAM mode, in the case of that topological charges used are limited, the interval-based mode-multiplexed communication using FOAM can increase the channel capacity.

01 Oct 2019TL;DR: This work proposes a novel NLOS identification technique employing K-Means Clustering (KMC) and kernel KMC methods, which are two of the most popular techniques in the field of data mining.
Abstract: Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation is one of the key challenges in radio positioning. Significant attentions have been drawn to the identification and mitigation of the NLOS in recent years. This paper focuses on the identification of NLOS signals based on the feature attached to the signals themselves. We propose a novel NLOS identification technique employing K-Means Clustering (KMC) and kernel KMC methods, which are two of the most popular techniques in the field of data mining. Our work is based on the fact that the features used, i.e., the kurtosis, the mean excess delay spread, and the root-mean-square delay spread are well modeled by log-normal random variables. Numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the validity of the methodology.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of high modulus asphalt concrete on rutting is studied in view of mechanics; the cause of asphalt pavement track is closely related to pavement structure under load.
Abstract: The new ways of anti-rutting was put forward by improving modulus of asphalt concrete and the effect of HMAT(high modulus asphalt concrete) on rutting is studied in view of mechanics; The cause of asphalt pavement track is closely related to pavement structure under load. Starting from the mechanism of rutting, the mechanical property of HMAT and the effect of modulus in middle layer on the rutting were analyzed; the dynamic stability and modulus of HMAC were analyzed by text and the result show that Increase of the dynamic stability and modulus of HMAC went against rutting; The mechanism of pavement structure was analyzed by the numerical analysis show that the maximum shear stress occurred in middle layer of pavement structure according to mechanical calculation. HMAC can raise modulus of elasticity of middle layer. HMAC can also improve stress state of pavement structure, reduce shear strain and prevent asphalt pavement track.
