Hemofilia: diagnóstico molecular y alternativas de tratamiento

Abstract: La hemofilia es una enfermedad recesiva ligada al cromosoma X que generalmente padecen los hombres. El diagnostico genetico preimplantacion (DGP), el diagnostico prenatal y el diagnostico molecular de las mutaciones que causan hemofilia, se realizan en investigaciones aisladas con el fin de hacer prevencion primaria, asesorar a las portadoras y a sus familias, lo que ha permitido traer al mundo ninos libres de esta enfermedad y tambien mejorar la calidad de vida de los afectados. Los esperanzadores procedimientos en terapia genica (TG) han mostrado gran efectividad, se pretende con ella la produccion normal de la proteina que esta ausente o alterada en los afectados, pero en el momento los ensayos que se llevan a cabo en seres humanos estan detenidos. Aqui se muestran otras terapias alternas que aunque estan en fase de investigacion, permitirian obtener una produccion de proteina a largo termino y que se han desarrollado gracias al entendimiento de la naturaleza molecular de los factores de la coagulacion.

Análisis biomecánico de la esgrima mediante sistemas optoelectrónicos de análisis de movimiento. Estudio de caso: deportista de alto rendimiento

Abstract: En este articulo se presenta el estudio de la tecnica deportiva para esgrima por medio de un analisis biomecanico, realizado con ayuda de sistemas optoelectronicos que capturan en tiempo real los dos gestos mas destacados, el paso adelante y el fondo, con el objetivo de caracterizar digitalmente la biomecanica para su posterior analisis cinematico y de esta manera describir la tecnica que tiene el deportista en la ejecucion del movimiento. Con este estudio se lograron caracterizar de una forma cuantitativa las curvas de posicion, angulos articulares, velocidades y aceleraciones de cada uno de los marcadores situados en el cuerpo del deportista. Este estudio se realizo en un deportista de alto rendimiento, destacado en la modalidad de espada. Abstract— This article presents the study of fencing techniques through biomechanical analysis, using optoelectronic systems that capture in real time two main gestures: advance and lunge, with the objective to digitally characterize the biomechanics, for its further kinematical analysis to describe the fencer’s technique in the movement execution. This study was made to characterize position curves, joint angles, velocity and acceleration of each of the markers located on the athlete’s body, in a quantitative manner. This study was developed on a high performance athlete in sword modality.

Abstract: The present study is just an overview of the opening of the geochemical stage for the appearance of life. But that opening would not have been sufficient for the intellectual discovery of the origin of life! The excellent works and many commendable efforts that advance this explanation have not shown the fundamental elements that partici- pate in the theoretical frame of biological evolution. The latter imply the existence of evolutionary transitions and the production of new levels of organization. In this brief analysis we do not intend to introduce the au- dience to the philosophy of biology. But we do expect to provide a mod- est overview, in which the geochemical chemolithoautotrophic opening of the stage should be seen, at most, as the initial metabolism that en- abled organic compounds to follow the road where a chemical fluid machinery was thus able to undertake the more "sublime" course of organic biological evolution. We think that Tibor Ganti's chemoton is the most significant contribution to theoretical biology, and the only course now available to comprehend the unit of evolution problem without the structuralist and functionalist conflict prevalent in theoretical biology. Caracterización Biomecánica De La Marcha Atlética Con Análisis 3D

Abstract: In this article is described the process that is carry out to characterize the technique of a runner athlete by using a high speed capture movement system, infrared cameras and a passive retro-reflective markers, which are placed at strategic spots on the athlete’s body. This allows to register the position in the space of all markers into a capture space trough a time line. The information that is obtained is mainly about the positioning of each marker at the three axes in the space. We based on this information in order to reconstruct and have an additional information that come from mathematics computational analysis of the available data, such as inclination of the segmental bodies in regard to another, speed, acceleration and orientation generated by the markers.
