TL;DR: In this paper, an elongate seal member is attached to the inner face of the side edge of the windshield extending throughout its vertical length and is provided with a rearwardly extending rib to sealingly engage a portion of the door.
Abstract: The construction incorporating the invention is applied to a utility vehicle such as an open vehicle provided with a fabric top, in which the windshield forms the upper portion of the forward upright of the door frame and portions of the top form the lintel and at least part of the rear upright. An elongate seal member is attached to the inner face of the side edge of the windshield extending throughout its vertical length and is provided with a rearwardly extending rib to sealingly engage a portion of the door. The door comprises a skeletal framework having a border structure conforming to the shape of the door frame and covered with fabric, the framework being made of resilient material. The door is hung on the existing hinge mounts and its lower portion lies in a vertical plane corresponding to that of the lower portion of the door frame. Bends are formed at intermediate points in the height of the framework so that the plane of the upper portion angles inwardly and upwardly. When the door is closed the upper end of the sealing rib and continued movement to complete closure springs the upper part of the door so that it fits tightly against the rib and lintel and produces a weather tight seal.

TL;DR: In this paper, the column densities of H2 in rotational levels j = 0-6 agree reasonably well with Copernicus ultraviolet observations of some early-type stars.
Abstract: Hydrogen molecules are formed in the thin dense shell of interstellar gas swept up by the expanding interstellar bubble around an early-type star with a strong stellar wind The formation of molecules on grains is not in equilibrium with photodestruction Theoretical calculations of the column densities of H2 in rotational levels j = 0-6 agree reasonably well with Copernicus ultraviolet observations of some early-type stars The model explains why no H2 features with column densities in the range from 10 to the 15th to 10 to the 18th power per sq cm have been observed

TL;DR: In this paper, a bracket anchored to a floor rail and spanning & clampingly engaging the lower leg portions of a chair was used to allow the chair to slide fore and aft relative to the bracket and rail and yet be restrained against other movements.
Abstract: A device for mounting chairs relative to the floor mounting tracks or rails in railroad dining cars and aircarft and the like so as to permit sliding movement of the chairs but restrains them from being dislodged and upset in the event of accidents or sudden stops This device includes a bracket anchored to a floor rail and spanning & clampingly engaging the lower leg portions of a chair so that the latter may slide fore and aft relative to the bracket and rail and yet be restrained against other movements

TL;DR: An analytical formulation for the prediction of SGEMP surface current response is presented in this article, where only two independent dimensionless parameters are required to predict the peak magnitude and rise time of the SGEMP induced surface currents.
Abstract: An analytical formulation for the prediction of SGEMP surface current response is presented. Only two independent dimensionless parameters are required to predict the peak magnitude and rise time of SGEMP induced surface currents. The analysis applies to limited (high fluence) emission as well as unlimited (low fluence) emission. Cause-effect relationships for SGEMP response are treated quantitatively, and yield simple power law dependencies between several physical variables. Analytical predictions for a large matrix of SGEMP cases are compared with an array of about thirty-five computer solutions of similar SGEMP problems, which were collected from three independent research groups. The theoretical solutions generally agree with the computer solutions as well as the computer solutions agree with one another. Such comparisons typically show variations less than a "factor of two".

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discussed the expected column densities of H2 in the intercloud medium and the possible use of molecules as indicators of intercloud physical conditions, showing that the presently observed optically thin H2 absorption components are more likely to originate in cold clouds than in the Intercloud medium.
Abstract: The paper discusses expected column densities of H2 in the intercloud medium and the possible use of molecules as indicators of intercloud physical conditions. Molecule formation by the H(-) process and on graphite grains is treated, and it is shown that the Barlow-Silk hypothesis of a 1-eV semichemical hydrogen-graphite bond leads to a large enhancement of the intercloud molecule-formation rate. Rotational-excitation calculations are presented for both cloud and intercloud conditions which show, in agreement with Jura (1975), that the presently observed optically thin H2 absorption components are more likely to originate in cold clouds than in the intercloud medium.

TL;DR: In this paper, a tie down for seat cushions, such as single and multiple mounted type vehicle seat cushion, resides in tabs swivelly attached to the opposing sides of the seat cushion and depending downwardly therefrom with the apertures being formed adjacent the free ends thereof.
Abstract: This tie down for seat cushions, such as single and multiple mounted type vehicle seat cushions resides in tabs swivelly attached to the opposing sides of the seat cushions and depending downwardly therefrom with the apertures being formed therein adjacent the free ends thereof. Upstanding hooks having bent ears thereon are anchored in the seat frames adjacent the side and center arm rest frames whereby cushions horizontally supported by the seat frames may be detached therefrom and rotated or reversed and reattached to and restrained by the hooks so as to present a clean or unworn seating surface when desired.

TL;DR: The model is found to follow a scheme originally suggested by Larrowe 1,3 and form a model based on stating all physical laws in an integral formulation and an analog computer model can be formed by proper insertion of minus signs and scale factors.
Abstract: The simulation of an electroacoustic transducer such as a loudspeaker system requires a mathematical model that can serve as the basis for building a computer model. We have three kinds of elements in a loud speaker : electrical, mechanical, and acoustical. Understanding the model and the results of the simu lation suggests that we not follow the traditional path of converting the mechanical and acoustical eZe ments to equivalent electrical elements to form an electrical network as the model to study. Instead, we have found it easier to follow a scheme originally suggested by Larrowe1,3and form a model based on stating all physical laws in an integral formulation. In modern notation, this is simply accomplished by drawing a signal flow graph as a mathematical model of the system. The resulting signal flow graph (if we use the "right" technique) has an optimum set of state variables in the sense that all quantities are of clear physical significance in the system. For a loudspeaker system, the state variab...

TL;DR: In this paper, a possible method for generating SGEMP-like surface currents and fields about a satellite-like object has been studied, which involves spraying electrons from an electron beam machine onto the object so as to reproduce responses which occur under photon illumination.
Abstract: A possible method for generating SGEMP-like surface currents and fields about a satellite-like object has been studied. The method involves spraying electrons from an electron beam machine onto the object so as to reproduce responses which occur under photon illumination. It has been found that by spraying from a particular machine and for a particular geometrical arrangement, it is possible to obtain good reproduction of surface currents produced by photon illumination, even for many cases of severely space charge limited conditions. Electric fields normal to the body are reproduced well at significant distances from emitting or sprayed surfaces, but not so near or on such surfaces. At very low intensities of emitted photon-induced currents where space charge effects are insignificant, all fields and currents can be well-reproduced by spraying, with some electric field sign reversals near emission (or collection) surfaces.
