A study of a system requires due consideration of its origins and evolution with an appreciation of the source material available. Account has been taken of modern research, but this is hardly the place for detailed study; thus ideas and findings are given only briefly as notes*.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the kinetics of dissolution of decarbonated Jordan oil shale in tetralin, in the presence of ultrasonic irradiation at relatively low temperatures, and found that the solvolysis was found to fit a first-order integrated equation between 28 and 95 °C, and a second-order equation for the temperatures 121 and 132 °C.
