TL;DR: Empirical results show that the elimination of stop words lead to better correlation estimation between questions and leads to better categorization efficiency, while incorporating students’ votes on the questions does not improve categorization Efficiency, to be effective in community question answering environments for assessing question quality.
Abstract: Micro-blogging is a popular technology in social networking applications that lets users publish online short text messages (eg, less than 200 characters) in real time via the web and SMS Micro-blogging is a informal communication medium especially for collaborative work within an organization It is a novel application of text categorization for two types of micro-blogging questions asked in a classroom, namely relevant (ie, questions that the teacher wants to address in the class) and irrelevant questions Prior work on teacher agents includes a question ranking capability that scores each question and tries to select the best questions to respond to The relevant question would be given the first priority for the reply, as compared to irrelevant question They utilize the question text as well as a personalized approach (ie, questions from a student who has been asking good questions are favored) to differentiate between the relevant and irrelevant questions Furthermore, empirical results also show that the elimination of stop words leads to better correlation estimation between questions and leads to better categorization efficiency On the other hand, incorporating students’ votes on the questions does not improve categorization efficiency, to be effective in community question answering environments for assessing question quality

TL;DR: The paper aims to review how new technologies could add value to processes and operations of warehousing and achieve economies of scale by transferring to an automated warehouse, or a traditional warehouse without considering the new technologies and innovations in the current SCM.
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to review and compare between an automated warehouse and traditional warehouse based on processes or activities, problems, performance, and efficiency. The paper aims to review how new technologies could add value to processes and operations of warehousing and achieve economies of scale by transferring to an automated warehouse, or a traditional could add value without considering the new technologies and innovations in the current SCM. Furthermore, the paper aims to review the pros and cons for both methods taking two examples; one in Bahrain and another in China as the latter is considered one of fasting country in developing and adopting new technologies in the world. The current state of warehousing operations will be analyzed by the author in both types, using a literature overview and current status of typical functions and operations in warehousing and review how technologies in practice lead to promising new research directions.

TL;DR: This paper highlights the applications of Fuzzy set theory in various acceptance sampling plans such as Single Sampling Plan, Double Sampling Plans with Binomial and Poisson distribution.
Abstract: Acceptance Sampling is a major field of Statistical Quality Control. Quality Control is the important aspect used by the practitioners in the manufacturing industries. It is a methodology that deals with procedures for making a decision whether to accept or reject the lot based on inspection of samples according to the attribute quality characteristic. Over the decade, research studies have been developed based on Fuzzy set theory and are used to solve problems of impreciseness arising in Quality Control which improves the efficiency and simplicity. This paper highlights the applications of Fuzzy set theory in various acceptance sampling plans such as Single Sampling Plan, Double Sampling Plans with Binomial and Poisson distribution.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors deal with the detection of broken bars in three phase squirrel cage induction motor using finite element model of the induction machine, which can be easily modified to study the effect of faults on the machine's performance.
Abstract: This paper deals with detection of broken bars in three phase squirrel cage induction motor using finite element model of the induction machine. Finite element method is more precise than the winding function approach, as it is based on the actual geometry of the machine. The machine model can easily be modified to study the effect of faults on the machine‟s performance. Accurate models of the machine under healthy and faulty conditions are developed. The static two-dimensional analysis is done for broken bar fault. The machine parameters like flux linkage, flux density and stored magnetic energy are obtained for healthy and faulty motor. The results examined under various conditions are compared and the observations are presented.

TL;DR: This project is going to prevent the train collision using MIWI communication, where both the transmitters and receivers will send the same track no and immediately buzzer will give alert on both the sides.
Abstract: Rail transport is facing major challenges today. On one hand, it must meet the needs of citizens for greater mobility while, on the other, it must provide a valid alternative to other modes of transport against a backdrop of rising fuel prices and the increasing importance of the impact of transport on the environment. In this context, rail transport must be ever more efficient. In this project we are going to prevent the train collision using MIWI communication. Transmitter will send a data (track1) from transmitter side and receiver receives the same data at receiver side. If the receiver is in another track the engine driver will send a data (track2) through transmitter and received by the receiver. If both the trains in the same track means, both the transmitters and receivers will send the same track no and immediately buzzer will give alert on both the sides. Thus the train collision is prevented. There is also a PIR sensor which is fixed in the train, to give electric supply when there is a human being is sitting inside the train. There is also an ultrasonic sensor which is attached to the train which intimates the distance of the obstacle
