TL;DR: A comprehensive survey of research methodologies proposed for quadrotor control is provided, categorised into three different control design domains and each methodology is discussed in detail.
Abstract: Quadrotor a kind of multirotor unmanned air vehicle has gained popularity within research community due to its high manoeuvrability, vertical take-off, landing and hovering capability, and ease of operation in areas where traditional unmanned air vehicle have proved ineffective. This article provides a comprehensive survey of research methodologies proposed for quadrotor control. The methodologies are categorised into three different control design domains and each methodology is discussed in detail. Finally, we discuss the evaluation criteria used for the aforementioned methodologies and highlight the potential challenges that still need to be addressed in quadrotor control domain.

TL;DR: This paper studies the problem of networked polynomial state feedback control using the sum of square (SOS) approach considering network-induced varying delay using the SOS decomposition numerical method which applies a control input to stabilise the networked control system states.
Abstract: This paper studies the problem of networked polynomial state feedback control using the sum of square (SOS) approach considering network-induced varying delay. The stabilisation conditions are achieved based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii stability theory. The proposed control approach is based on the SOS decomposition numerical method which applies a control input to stabilise the networked control system states. Finally, numerical simulation is done to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

TL;DR: This paper presents a reformulation of an existing integer linear programme for the problem of sensor placement for triangulation-based localisation, and gives explicit polynomial reductions from the decision version of the problem to satisfiable problem (SAT) and 3-satisfiability problem (3SAT).
Abstract: Recent technological advances have facilitated the widespread use of sensor networks in many applications. In particular, deploying many sensors in a workspace provides a valuable alternative to on-board localisation for mobile robots. Coverage and placement problems for sensors which jointly estimate the states of targets received considerable attention recently. In this paper, we consider the problem of sensor placement for triangulation-based localisation. The problem is non-deterministic polynomial-time hard in its most general form. We present a reformulation of an existing integer linear programme for the problem where we transform the original to an equivalent integer linear programme with less number of variables. We consider an approach to solve the problem that is based on constructing a logical model for the problem. In particular, we give explicit polynomial reductions from the decision version of the problem to satisfiability problem (SAT) and 3-satisfiability problem (3SAT).

TL;DR: The experimental characteristic curve of the generator and simulation result of proposed control scheme are presented and the behaviour of generated voltage under variable load, rotor speed and excitation capacitance is presented.
Abstract: In this paper, we have presented a general study of self excited induction generator used in isolated renewable energy conversion source. Tthe behaviour of generated voltage under variable load, rotor speed and excitation capacitance is presented. Also, we have proposed a robust controller suitable in order to control the terminal DC voltage under different speed and AC load conditions for supplied an isolated DC load. The experimental characteristic curve of the generator and simulation result of proposed control scheme are presented.

TL;DR: This work attempts to develop an SDC framework and diagnose the impeller condition of a centrifugal pump using MCSA, and significant differences are observed and a fault prediction strategy is recommended.
Abstract: Due to growth of mechanisation and automation, today's industrial systems are becoming more complex. A small breakdown of any non-redundant machine component affects the operation of the entire system. To increase the availability and reliability, automated health monitoring and self-diagnostic capability (SDC) becoming essential to many industrial machineries like pumps, motors, etc. Condition monitoring does not prevent the failure, but it can predict the possibility of future failure by measuring certain machine parameters. Though there are various condition monitoring techniques, vibration analysis and motor current signature analysis (MCSA) are most suitable for detection of faults and abnormalities in machine systems. This work attempts to develop an SDC framework and diagnose the impeller condition of a centrifugal pump using MCSA. Time and frequency domain analyses are done for different impeller conditions of the pump, such as normal impeller and defective impellers. Significant differences are observed and a fault prediction strategy is recommended.
