TL;DR: In this paper, the diffusivity of N2O and CO2 in aqueous alkanolamine solution was measured and correlated over a wide range of conditions, and a modified Stokes-Einstein relation was derived.
Abstract: Solubility and diffusivity of N2O and CO2 in water were determined as a function of temperature from the results published in the open literature, and new data were measured in the present work. The solubility of N2O in several aqueous alkanolamine (DEA, DIPA, DMMEA, and DIPA) solutions at various temperatures was measured and correlated over a wide range of conditions. For both the diffusivity of N2O and the alkanolamine in aqueous alkanolamine solutions a modified Stokes-Einstein relation was derived. With the aid also of the “N2O analogy” the diffusivity of CO2 in these solutions can be estimated.

TL;DR: In this paper, heat capacities of KCl solutions have been measured from 413 to 573 K at 200 bar over the molality range of 0.05-3.0 mol kg/sup -1/.
Abstract: Heat capacities of KCl solutions have been measured from 413 to 573 K at 200 bar over the molality range of 0.05-3.0 mol kg/sup -1/. These were combined with literature data on volumes, heat capacities, enthalpies, and osmotic coefficients up to a temperature of 599 K and a pressure of 500 bar to yield comprehensive equations for the calculation of the thermodynamic properties of KCl(aq) to high temperatures and pressures by using ion-interaction approach of Pitzer.

TL;DR: In this article, vapor-phase composltlons for supercritical carbon dioxide at 318, 328, and 338 K have been measured for 1-hexadecanol (CH,(CH, CH,),,,CH,OH) and palmitic acid (CH and COH) for pressures of 140-416 and 140-575 bar, respectably.
Abstract: By use of a contlnuous flow facility, vapor-phase composltlons In supercritlcal carbon dioxide at 318, 328, and 338 K have been measured for 1-hexadecanol (CH,(CH,),,CH,OH) and palmitic acid (CH,(CH,),,COOH) for pressures of 140-416 and 140-575 bar, respectlvely. For the isothermal measurements, the mole fractlon composltlons related with the correspondlng reduced density of the supercrltlcal solvent as follows: log y 2 = A + Bp,,. The temperature-dependent parameters A and B were capable of producing compositions with average deviations of 3.4% (18 polnts) for the 1-hexadecanoi-carbon dloxlde and 9.7 % (19 points) for the palmitic acid-carbon dioxlde systems. The coupling of the Flory-Huggins theory with the three-dimensional solubility parameter of the solvent predlcts, through the Introduction of a single interaction parameter, the composltlons with average devlatlons of 11.4 % (18 points) for the 1-hexadecanol and 20.2% (19 points) for the palmitic acid binary systems.

TL;DR: The speed of sound in liquid methanol has been measured at temperatures from 273 to 333 K and at pressures up to 280 MPa, using a phase comparison pulse-echo technique operating at 2 MHz as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The speed of sound in liquid methanol has been measured at temperatures from 273 to 333 K and at pressures up to 280 MPa, using a phase comparison pulse-echo technique operating at 2 MHz. The density, the isobaric thermal expansivity, the isothermal compressibility, the entropy, the enthalpy, and the specific heat have been evaluated from the measured sound speed following a modified computational method. The derived density data were fitted to a 16-constant equation of state within the accuracy of the measurement. In the region of overlap, the experimental data agree well with those determined by direct measurement.

TL;DR: The water contents of compressed methane gas In equlllbrlum wtth water and diethylene glycol-water solutions of 0.156, 0.472, and 0.662 mole fractlon water were measured at 298.15 and 323.15 K and pressures of 3, 5, and 8 MPa as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: The water contents of compressed methane gas In equlllbrlum wtth water and diethylene glycol-water solutions of 0.156, 0.472, and 0.662 mole fractlon water were measured at 298.15 and 323.15 K and pressures of 3, 5, and 8 MPa. The solubllltles of methane In the diethylene glycol, water, and diethylene glycol-water solutlons were also mepsured under the same conditions of the water content measurement. The methane solublltty data were analyzed wlth the Krlchevsky-Kasarnovsky equation to obtain the Henry constant of methane In the diethylene glycol-water solutions.
