Abstract: The city and town river has its special characters of water pollution, such as complicated eco-system, diversification of pollution patterns, grave consequences of water pollution. The treatment techniques of water pollution in city and town river are steadily developing along with the economic development and technique progress. The harnessing of a river is not a difficult problem. This paper summarizes the water pollution remediation techniques in city and town river combining the experiences at home and from abroad. The measures will be useful for water pollution treatment of city and town river in China.
