TL;DR: Examination of trends in aquaculture production in selected countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and South America and infer from these trends where biodiversity loss would be most observed and least observed revealed that Asia is seven times more vulnerable to biodiversity loss than in any other continents.
Abstract: This paper examines trends in aquaculture production in selected countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and South America and infer from these trends where biodiversity loss would be most observed and least observed. This study made use of the descriptive research design utilizing secondary data obtained from Food and Agriculture Organization. The data consists of the annual aquaculture production from 1960 to 2014 from several countries worldwide. Ten (10) countries were randomly chosen to represent each of the continents of Asia, South America, North America, Europe and Africa. The graphical presentations showed where the highest increases in aquaculture production would most likely occur. This information was then utilized as a basis for inferring the state of biodiversity loss in the various continents. Results revealed that aquaculture production increases in Asia are about seven times more than the production in other continents. Likewise, intensified aquaculture production implies magnification of six (6) newly-identified threats to biodiversity. As a result, countries in Asia are seven times more vulnerable to biodiversity loss than in any other continents despite the fact that Asia is home to majority of the earth’s floral and faunal species.

TL;DR: Li et al. as mentioned in this paper evaluated IELTS Liulishuo under the mobile-assisted language learning (MALL) principles and some concepts of AI-powered foreign language software, as was put forward by Stockwell and Pokrivcakova (2019).
Abstract: EFL (English as a foreign language) learners seem destined to make errors and continuously need to test their changing language levels. However, the unbalance between supply and demand always exists in the process of learning English. Teachers sometimes are also tired of doing repetitive jobs to correct the same mistakes of nonnative speakers. Therefore, many researchers tend to improve the efficiency of learning and teaching processes by using computer-assisted instruction. Specifically, artificial intelligence software is an unstoppable trend to solve this problem. This study aims to find which characteristics in IELTS Liulishuo (an artificial English-learning app to improve IELTS performance) are following the elements of computer-assisted language learning (CALL) pedagogy (Chapelle, 2003). Meanwhile, it will also be evaluated under the mobile-assisted language learning (MALL) principles and some concepts of AI-powered foreign language software, as was put forward by Stockwell (2013) and Pokrivcakova (2019). The results showed that IELTS Liulishuo has affordability to be used as an online platform for foreign English learning. More importantly, it shed some light on CALL pedagogy and the design of artificial applications of foreign language learning.

TL;DR: The authors analyzes the conception and the causes of the phenomenon and proposes some solutions to dealing with fossilization so as to improve the effect gains in English learning, which is a universal phenomenon in Second Language Acquisition and derives from multiple factors.
Abstract: The term interlanguage was first used by American linguist, Larry Selinker It is the unique linguistic system because it is neither L1 nor L2 but at the same time bears resemblances to both, which functions as a relatively systematic transition from initial knowledge of a language tonative proficiency during the process of language acquisition, is always regarded as an unstable set of language characteristics produced by learnersFossilization in interlanguage is significant in English learningit is a universal phenomenon in Second Language Acquisition and it derives from multiple factors This paper analyzes the conception and the causes of the phenomenon Through this research, we should hold a totally different view from traditional one on the nature and function of teacher’s training, teaching materials and the handling of the learners’ errors, etcIt try to propose some solutions to dealing with fossilization so as to improve the effect gains in English learning

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used FTIR analysis to identify the possible presence of alkanes, esters, aromatics, hydroxyl, and carbonyl in the biodiesel, compounds which are similar to the other biodiesel profile.
Abstract: Extraction of oil from the seeds of Swietenia macrophylla was carried out to determine its potential for bio-oil production and the eventual making of liquid biodiesel products. Central composite design of the response surface methodology was the experimental design employed considering reaction time, catalyst loading and amount of methanol as operating variables in the production of biodiesel. The biodiesel production, produced via transesterification process using the extracted oil from the seed, was catalyzed by potassium hydroxide and methanol. Hexane was used as the solvent in the extraction of oil from the seed. Essential characteristics of the seed, the extracted oil from the seed, and the produced biodiesel were all determined. The result showed that the seed has a moisture content of 10.6%. About 48.44% by weight of seed was elevated as bio-oil with 0.86 g/cm3 density and 6.25 pH. After refining, 36.10% by weight of the extracted oil constituted the final biodiesel product. The FTIR analysis identified the possible presence of alkanes, esters, aromatics, hydroxyl, and carbonyl in the biodiesel, compounds which are similar to the other biodiesel profile. Calorific analysis revealed biodiesel’s high heating value of 39.87 MJ/kg, generally equal to 40 MJ/kg of the commercial heavy fuel. This work demonstrated that seeds from S. macrophylla are useful biomass in the production of high-energy biodiesel, a finding with huge implications for the biofuel industry.
