Experiments with the cascade-correlation algorithm

Abstract: A series of experiments with the cascade-correlation algorithm (CCA) and some of its variants on a number of real-world pattern classification tasks are described. Some of the experiments investigated the effect of different design parameters on the performance of the CCA. Parameter settings that consistently yield good performance on different data sets were identified. The performance of the CCA is compared with that of the backpropagation algorithm and the perceptron algorithm. Preliminary results obtained from some variants of CCA and some directions for future work with CCA-like neural network learning methods are discussed. >

Abstract: This paper introduces a research method which provides end users with required information based on their location and time: confirming customers' location, receiving their requirements, obtaining the information from the server database and sending it to customers, and making sure of the transmission validity, safety and non-reduplicatability. Tourism Information Provider (TIP) allows end users to obtain standard information based simultaneously on their current location, the current time, their Drofile, and their accumulated knowledge. And TIP gathers all these concepts in a single framework based on mobile devices , various databases, and event notification system, and it will be listed as a referenced model of developing LBS.

The Developing and Application of the New Generation of Embedded MPU-STM32F103

Abstract: STM32F103 series chip based on Cortex-M3 core is a new type of 32-bit embedded MPU.It is a kind of ARM that dosn't need any operating system,and its performance is much better than 51 series SCM,but its developing process is as easy as 51 series SCM.Therefore,it can replace 51 series SCM in many occasions.Starting with performance characteristic and resources on chip,the developing tools and flow are emphasized in this article.Then taking temperature measurement as an example,the process of project building,source program edition and translation based on Keil ?Vision4 software,program downloading based on J-Link emluator,program debugging on-line and running on the chip are specified.Finally,the temperature is converted to digital number and transmitted to the PC via serial port.
