Abstract: To deal with earthwork balance of large projects,The paper use matlab optimization toolbox to solve problem about complex linear programming.Combined with a large highway project,earthwork balance can be described as a mathematical form which can be studied.through the mathematical form and its boundary condition,we can write a calculator program,call linprogfunction of toolbox,and obtain the optimum earthwork balance plan.
