Abstract: Objective To investigate the correlation between the polymorphism at-159 C/T locus in CD14 gene and asthma and its impact upon plasm IL-5 level.Methods 150 asthma subjects and 150 control subjects were chosen,after peripheral blood was centrifuged,plasm IL-5 level were tested by ELISA.Polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP-PCR) techniques were used to determine-159 C/T locus polymorphism.Results The distribution of C and T alleles were significantly different in the athma and control group(χ2=10.82,P0.01),C allele was associated with asthma[OR(C/T)=1.73,95% CI =1.25~2.39,P0.01].The genetype(TT,CT and CC) distribution was also significantly different in the two groups(χ2=9.73,P0.01);in each group,subjects with C allele had higher IL-5 level than that in subjects without C allele,and the patients of CC genetype had the highest plasm IL-5 level;IL-5 level of patients with the same genotype in the asthma group were higher than that in the control group.Conclusions The-159 promoter polymorphism of CD14 gene may be associated with asthma.C allele is associated with higher plasm IL-5 levels.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the feasibility of the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma with mangiferin. Methods CNE2 cells were treaded with different concentrations of mangiferin,the cell proliferation inhibition rate,apoptosis ratio and cell cycle status were detected. Results After mangiferin administration,CNE2 proliferation inhibition ratio and apoptosis ratio increased significantly in concentration and time-dependent manner(P0.05). CNE2 cells showed S phase blockage in a dose-dependent way 72 hours after the treatment of mangiferin,and G2/M phase blockage appeared when the concentration of mangiferin 100 μmol/L. Conclusion Mangiferin can inhibit the proliferation of CNE2 cells and induce apoptosis ,also possess the effect of S and G2/M phase blockage and potential anti-tumor.

Abstract: Objective To study the role of cyclinD1(CCND1) gene in occurrence and development of lung cancer.Methods 108 cases were collected,which included 45 patients from Xuanwei with NSCLC,45 patients from Kunming with NSCLC and 18 patients with pneumatocele and pneumorrhagia(control group).PCR-SSCP and DNA sequence were used to analyze CCND1 polymorphism of extra 4/intra 4(G870A) in the samples of paraffin-embedded human lung tissues from these 108 residing patients.Results AA,AG,GG of G870A genetype probability in Xuanwei was 46.7%,42.2%,11.1%;which in Kunming was 24.4%,44.4%,31.1%,in control group was 22.2%,38.9%,38.9%,respectively.AA of G870A genetype total probability in Xuanwei was higher than that in Kunming.Conclusions The occurrence and development of lung cancer is a multi-gene,multi-step process of development,the G870A polymorphism of CCND1 was related to the zero sepecifity.

Abstract: Objective To establish an adriamycin(ADM) multi-drug resistant human small cell lung cancer cell line H446/ADM model and investigate the possible role of Bcl-2 family proteins in the producing of drug resistance.Methods H446/ADM model was obtained by exposing at intervals and repeatedly to high dose of ADM.Flow cytometry was used to analyze its cell cycle distribution.MTT assay was used to measure the cross-resistant profile of H446/ADM cell line.Expression of Bcl-2,Bcl-xL,Bak and Bax were measured by flow cytometry and Western blot in H446/ADM and H446.Results H446/ADM grew more slowly and had longer population double time than its parental cell line H446.The percentage of cells decreased in G0/G1 phase increased,and decreased in G2/M phase in H446/ADM.The drug-resistance multiple of H446/ADM with regard to ADM was 33.09.H446/ADM presents cross-drug resistance not only to ADM but also to DNR,VCR,TAX,DDP,VP-16 and MIT.The expression of Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL increased while bak and bax decreased in H446/ADM compared with H446(P0.05).Conclusion Drug-resistant human small cell lung cancer cell line H446/ADM can be successfully established.Bcl-2 family proteins may be involved in the producing of drug resistance.

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effect of total parenteral nutrition added with ω-3 fish oil fat emulsion on the cell immunological function and inflammatory response in patients with severe sepsis.Method 40 patients with severe sepsis were randomly divided into routine total parenteral nutrition(TPN) group(group A,20 cases) and ω-3 fish oil fat emulsion + TPN treatment group(group B,20 cases).Patients in group A received routine TPN,and patients in group B received TPN with ω-3 fish oil fat emulsion 1~2 ml/(kg·d).The blood samples of the patients were abstracted before the treatment and the 6 th day after the treatment respectively.CD+4CD+25 Treg,the proportion of CD+4 cell,CD+8 cell,CD+4CD+25 Treg cell in the total lymphocytes were measured by flow cytometry.The concentration of IL-10 and TNF-α were detected by ELISA.Result Compared with group A,the proportion of CD+4CD+25 Treg,the concentration of IL-10 and TNF-α,the ratio of TNF-α/IL-10 fell markedly,and the ratio of CD+4/CD8 rose markedly in group B(P0.01) after the treatment.The fatality rate of group B was lower than group A in 28 d,but the difference was not significant(P0.05).Conclusion ω-3 fish oil fat emulsion can regulate and enhance the organism immunological function of the patients with severe sepsis,regulate the balance of pro-and anti-inflammatory factor.

Abstract: Objective To explore the relationships between ERCC1,BRCA1 and hMLH1 gene proteins and cisplatin resistance in lung cancer. Methods The expression of ERCC1,BRCA1,hMLH1 proteins in 60 lung cancer samples were evaluated by immunohistochemistry technique and the relationships between the expression of these proteins and clinical pathologic characteristics,drug resistance were analyzed.Results The positive rate of ERCC1,BRCA1 and hMLH1 proteins were 30%,25% and 68.3%,respectively.The positive rate of ERCC1,BRCA1 in cisplatin-resistant samples were higher than those in cisplatin-sensitive samples(P0.05).The expression of BRCA1 was related to that of hMLH1 proteins(P0.05).Conclusion The expressions of ERCC1 and BRCA1 proteins are associated with cisplatin resistance in lung carcinoma patients,which may be valuable to predict cisplatin response in lung carcinoma.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the significance and effect of pressure controlled ventilation(PCV) as well as volume controlled ventilation(VCV) on respiratory mechanics and arterial blood gas analysis in aged patients underwent thoracic surgeryMethods Forty-six aged patients over 60 years with abnormal pulmonary function underwent thoracic surgery were mechanically ventilated with VCV during two-lung ventilation(TLV) and one-lung ventilation(OLV)All patients were mechanically ventilated with traditional VCV(OLV-VCV1) for 25 min at first,then with protective VCV(OLV-VCV2) for 25 min and followed by PCV for 25 minThe respiratory mechanics index was measured by side stream spirometry(SSS) including peak airway pressure(Ppeak),plateau pressure(Pplat),airway resistance(Raw),lung compliance(Cdyn) and inspiratory and expiratory minute ventilation(Mvi,Mve)Arterial blood gases were obtained at the end of each ventilation modeResults Ppeak,Pplat and Raw were significantly higher during OLV-VCV1 than during TLV-VCV(P001),whereas Cdyn was significantly lower(P001)Ppeak,Pplat and Raw were lower during OLV-VCV2 and OLV-PCV than during OLV-VCV1(P005),Cdyn was higher(P005)Arterial oxygen pressure(PaO2) significantly decreased during OLV than during TLV(P001)PaO2 and PaCO2 significantly increased during OLV-PCV and OLV-VCV2 than during OLV-VCV1(P005)Conclusion For the aged patients with abnormal pulmonary function,PCV can lead to lower airway pressure and should be a preferable controlled ventilation mode

Abstract: Objective To observe the aberrant methylation of p16 gene promoter in gastric cancer patients and analyse the relationship between the aberrant methylation of p16 gene and clinical manifestation.Methods The methylation status of p16 gene in gastric cancer specimens,the corresponding normal gastric mucosa was detected by methylation specific polymerase chain reaction.Results The frequency of aberrant methylation of p16 gene in gastric cancer specimens was significantly higher than that in the corresponding normal gastric mucosa(P0.01).Aberrant methylation of p16 gene was not significantly correlated with the age,gender,tumor size,the stage of pathology,differentiation degree,invasion depth and the involvement of lymph node of gastric cancer.Conclusions Aberrant methylation of the promoter region of p16 gene is a common and specifical event in occurrence and progression of gastric cancer,which may be used as biomarker for the diagnosis of gastric cancer.

Abstract: Objective To compare single and repeated administration protocol with rosuvastatin on no reflow and endothelial functional and structural integrity in a mini-swine model of acute infarction and reperfusion.Methods 19 open-chest pigs were randomized into three groups: 7 in placebo,7 in rosuvastatin pretreatment for 4 days(R4) and 5 in rosuvastatin for single pretreatment(R1) group.The model was created through 90 min ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery(LAD) followed by 180 min of reperfusion.Results Compared with placebo,R4 increased the local LAD blood flow at the 180 min of reperfusion and limited the infarct and no reflow size(P0.05 respectively).R4 increased the cNOS activity in reflow region(P0.05).The level of VE-cadherin was also preserved in the no reflow region of R4.R4 decreased the level of serum total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein(P0.05).Whereas R1 pretreatment failed to take effects as R4 did.Conclusions Rosuvastatin pretreatment reduces the size of no reflow and preserves endothelial functional and structural integrity after myocardial ischemia and reperfusion.The effect is dependent on the method of pretreatment.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the feasibility and mechanism of total saponins of Panax Japonicus(TSPJ) in treating the arthritis.Methods Forty rats were randomly divided into the normal control group,model control group,total gluco-sides of paeony(TGSP)group,TSPJ low-dose and high-dose group with 8 rats in each.A model of experimental Freund′s complete adjuvant-induced arthritic rats was established in the latter four groups,and were treated with normal saline,50 mg/kg TGSP and 200,50 mg/kg TSPJ by intragastric administration 14 days later.The rate of paw swell were observed and the serum TNF-α and IL-1β levels were determined.Results Compared with the model control group,the rate of paw swell and serum TNF-α and IL-1β levels in TGSP group,TSPJ low-dose and high-dose group decreased significantly(P0.01,0.05),particular which in the TSPJ high-dose group(P0.01).Conclusions TSPJ can treat the arthritis rats effectively,possible mechanism maybe down-regulate the serum TNF-α and IL-1β levels.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between G894T polymorphism of endothelial nitric oxide synthase(eNOS) gene and essential hypertension(EH)in Dongxiang minority population.Methods The polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP) method was used to detect genetypes of eNOS gene exon 7th G894T of patients with essential hypertensive(EH),whose nitric oxide metabolites(NOM)were measured by nitrate reductase.Normotensives(NT)people consisted of the control group.Results eNOS gene G894T polymorphism was in line with the Hardy-Weinberg banlanced law.The frequencies of GT + TT genotypes and T allele in EH were higher than those in NT respectively(P0.05 or P0.01).SBP,DBP and MBP of patients with T allele of eNOS gene G894T polymorphism were higher than those of patiengts with GG genotype respectively(P0.05).The level of NOm was lower in GT+TT genotypes than that in GG genotype(P0.05).Conclusions eNOS gene exon 7th G894T polymorphism is associated with EH in Dongxiang minority population.T allele may be involved in the aetiology of EH by reducing NO release of endothelium.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the frequency of beta fibrinogen promoter area-148C/T polymorphism and its relationship with plasma fibrinogen level in patient with coronary heart disease(CHD) and healthy people.Methods The frequency distribution of Fgβ-148C/T was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP) method in CHD group(n=236) and control group(n=164).Plasma Fg level was measured by the automatic cruorv analysis instrument.Results The distribution of Fg-148C/T gene polymorphism was in accordance with the Hard Weinberge quilibrium(P0.05).The genotype frenquencies of-148C/T were higher in CHD group than that in control group(P0.05).The plasma fibrinogen level in CHD group was signifieantly higher than that in the control group(t=4.138,P0.01).Plasma fibrinogen level in CHD group with 148CT,148TT was higher than that in control group(t=2.889 P0.05).Plasma fibrinogen level in CHD group with CT+TT was higher than that with CC(t=3.066,P0.05).The Plasma fibrinogen level in control group with CT+TT genetype was higher than with CC(t=2.676,P0.05).Conclutions The frequency of beta fibrinogen gene Polymorphism is existed on Han people in Henan area.T allele may be a kind of dangerous factor of CHD.

Abstract: Objective To observe the effects of sesamin on the formation of atheromatous plaque and expression of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1) in atherosclerotic rabbit.Methods Eighteen Japanese white rabbits were randomly divided into sesamin group,atorvastatin group and positive control group.The treatment lasted for 8 weeks.Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) was detected at 0,5 and 8 week after the administration in each group.By the end of experiment,all rabbits' aortas were taken out to undergo pathological examination.The mRNA expression of VCAM-1 was detected by RT-PCR.Results The level of LDL-C in sesamin group and atorvastatin group was significantly decreased than that of positive control group(P0.01).Pathological changes of aorta and immunochemical changes of vessel well plaque in the two treatment groups were significantly relieved than those in positive control group(P0.01).The down-regulated expression rate of VCAM-1 of aortic wall in sesamin group and atorvastatin group was 27.59% and 45.97%,respectively.Conclusions Sesamin is benefit for the treatment of atherosclerosis as well as atorvastatin.The use of sesamin can improve atherosclerosis plaque and down-regulate VCAM-1 expression in aortic wall in addition hypolipemic.

Abstract: Objective To explore the expression and significance of Kruppel-like factor 4(KLF4) in the hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods Using the oligonucleotide chip,reverse transcriptional polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and immunohistochemistry,the expressions of KLF4 was detected in tissues of normal human liver,cirrhosis and HCC.It's necessary to investigate the relationship between their expressions and their clinical pathological characteristics.Results KLF4 expression was significantly down regulated in HCC based on our microarray study(Ratio=0.438),which was respectively confirmed by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry analysis.The study shows that the deletion of KLF4 was highly correlated to pathology grading of HCC.Conclusions The low expression of KLF4 in HCC is intimately correlated to the extent of tumor differentiation.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between the I883M polymorphism of ATP-binding cassette transporter 1(ABCA1) gene and cardiovascular disease in Han population of Guangxi.Methods PCR-RFLP was used to examine ABCA1 gene I883M polymorphism A→G of 227 non-blood-related patients with cardiovascular disease and 162 without cardiovascular disease,comparing the allele frequencies and genotype distributions between the two groups.Results The allele frequencies of ABCA1 gene I883M in control group were as follows:I=0.213,M=0.787.The genotype frequencies were as follows: II=4.32%(7/162),IM=33.95%(55/162),MM=61.73%(100/162);The allele frequencies in the cardiovascular disease group were as follows:I=0.335,M=0.665,and the genotype frequencies were as follows: II=10.57%(24/227),IM=45.81%(104/227),MM=43.61%(99/227);There are very significant differences in the frequencies of ABCA1 gene I883M genotype and alleles between the two groups(P0.01).The frequency of mutant type(IM+MM) in the control group(95.68%) is higher than that in the cardiovascular disease group(89.43%)(P0.05).The ABCA1 883I haplotype may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.Conclusions These data suggest that ABCA1 gene I883M polymorphisms may be associated with the development of cardiovascular disease in Han population of Guangxi.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of AiDi injection combined with chemotherapy on mRNA expression of CK-19 in peripheral blood tumor cell of advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods Forty patients with advanced NSCLC were randomly divided into the study group(n=22,treated with AiDi injection combined with chemotherapy) and the control group(n=18,treated with chemotherapy).The regimen of chemotherapy was paclitaxel plus carboplatin.CK-19 mRNA level in peripheral blood turmor cell in advanced NSCLC was determined after 2 cycles by relative quantity RT-PCR.The efficacy and overall survival of each group were observed.Results The levels of CK-19 mRNA in both of two groups were significantly decreased(P0.05),as compared with that before chemotherapy.The study group reduced the level of CK-19 mRNA more effectively than the control group(P0.05).The overall response rate and overall survival of the study group were better than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion AiDi injection can enhance the therapeutic effect probably by reducing the level of CK-19 mRNA in peripheral blood turmor cell of NSCLC.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of CD147,MMP-1,2,3 and their relations to the biological behavior of gastric carcinomaMethods Envision immunohistochemical method was used to detect the CD147 and MMP-1,2,3 in 50 cases with gastric adenocarcinoma,30 cases with chronic gastritis(CG)Results The positive rates of CD147 and MMP-1,2,3 were progressive increase in 50 cases of gastric carcinoma to 30 cases of CG(P005)The positive rates of CD147,MMP-1,2,3 in patients with gastric carcinoma stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ,invading seroral layer,metastasis of lymph nodes,survival time 5 a were significantly higher than those in patients stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ,invading muscular layer,without metastasis of lymph nodes,survival time 5 a(P005)Conclusion CD147 and MMP-1,2,3 could be potential indexes of envaluating invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma

Abstract: Objective To explore the method and clinical significance of reconstructing a three-dimensional finite element model of human thoracolumbar spine based on sophisticated CT scanning.MethodsDirectly reading the 210-layer of 0.65-mm-thick consecutive CT Dicom format images of human body thoracolumbar making use of 0.625-mm isotropous resolution thin layer scan technique into the Mimics.Defining bone organization threshold,withdrawning each Outline,Partitioning each edge of layer picture,edited selectively and repaired by hole processing.After a redundancy data was cleaned,the thoracolumbar 3D finite element geometry model was acquired.Then area mesh could be kept as the document Ansys named.lis as the suffix and be introduced into Ansys software directly to mesh body,and then transferred the body mesh to mimics to assignment on the basis of CT values,once again import Ansys to add ligaments and joint-bindings to establish 3D finite elementmodel.ResultsA realistic appearance and calculation accuracy 3D finite element model of thoracolumbar was established.ConclusionThe applications of sophisticated CT scanning technique,the Dicom standard of images,Mimics software directly dock with Ansys software and can directly assign values according to CT so make the establishment of three-dimensional finite element model of human thoracolumbar spine faster and more accurate.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of integrin β1,fibronectin(FN) and CD34 in glioma and to discuss their relationship with the prognosis of glioma patients.Method Immunohistochemistry method was used to detect integrin β1,FN and CD34 expression in glioma and normal brain tissues.Results The positive expression rate of integrin β1 and FN in glioma was 61.4%(43/70),54.3%(38/70) respectively.Integrin β1 and FN were positively correlated with pathological grading(r=0.347 5,P0.01;r=0.406 7,P0.01).Mean vessel density(MVD) in 70 gliomas was 34.7±6.3,which was positively correlated with the pathological grading(r=0.912 9,P0.01).The expression of integrin β1,FN and MVD were positively correlated with each other(P0.05).With the pathological grading up-regulating and the expression of integrin β1,FN,MVD increasing,the survival rate decreased(P0.05).Conclusion Over-expression of integrin β1,FN and MVD might be correlated with genesis and the degree of malignancy of glioma.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the regularity of spectrum of disease and to define the staging of medical rescue in Wenchuan earthquake area.Methods According to the ICD-10 codes,the diseases were categorized into injuries/wounds,non-traumatic surgical diseases and internal medicine diseases.The surgical diseases and the internal medicine diseases were sorted according to each faculty.Results The injuries/wounds were the main diseases in 7 days of after the shock,which account for 94.29%~100%.The incidence of non-traumatic surgical diseases gradually increased 8 days after the shock,and stabilized between 50.72% and 54.20% 1 month after the shock.And most of the surgical diseases were osteology diseases and gynecologic and obstetric diseases.The incidence of internal medicine diseases gradually increased 3 days after the shock,and stabilized between 44.32% and 48.69% 1 month after the shock;And most of the diseases were acute respiratory tract infection,alimentary infection,allergic dermatosis and posttraumatic stress disorder.Conclusion Three stages of disaster medical rescue could be well defined in Wenchuan earthquake.In early stage(in 7 days after the shock),injuries/wounds are the main disease;In intermediate stage(8~30days following the shock),the diseases include not only the common surgical/internal medicine diseases but also injuries/wounds caused by aftershocks and secondary disaster of earthquake.Furthermore,the incidence of posttraumatic stress disorder is highest in this stage.In late stage(1~3 months after the shock),the spectrum of diseases in this stage is similar to that of commonly encountered local disease.

Abstract: Objective To study the different of the effect on immune function in beating heart surgery and cardioplegia surgery during cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB).Methods Sixty patients suffered from rheumatic mitral disease were randomly divided into two groups: the trial group(beating heart surgery,40cases)and the while control group(cardioplegia surgery,20cases),Venous blood samples were collected at ten different time intervals to examine the levels of CD+3,CD+4,CD+8,NK cell and IgA、IgG、IgM.Results The Results showed that CD+3,CD+4,NK cell and IgA、IgG、IgM in both groups decreased significantly before CPB,CD+8 in both groups increased significantly before CPB,the level of CD+3,CD+4,CD+8,NK cell and IgA、IgG、IgM need less time to recover in trial group during CPB to normal level than that in while control group.Conlusion The effect on immune function in beating heart surgery are less than cardioplegia surgery during cardiopulmonary bypass.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the association between the MUTYH gene polymorphism and colorectal cancer.Method The denaturing high performance liquid chromatography(DHPLC)and DNA sequencing were combined to detect 6 Exons in the 200 colorectal cancer patients and 400 controls.Results Mutations were detected in 3 Exons.A missense mutation Exon 14+74 TA,p.V463E was found in Exon 14.Mutaion around Exon 10 was Intron10-2 AG.Mean age of variation carriers in patients was higher than that of variation carriers in controls(P0.01).Three mutational sites,which were Exon1-316 GA,Exon1-292 GA and Intron1+11 CT,were detected in and around Exon 1.The mutation frequency in patients was significantly higher than that in controls,and mutation risk in patients was 10.23-fold than in controls.Conclusions Colorectal carcinoma may be proceeded by MUTYH polymorphism.The most obvious difference with the report about Caucasian is that no mutation was found in and around Exon 7 which is one of the most frequently mutated Exons in westerners.MUTYH mutation variance may relate to race difference.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between semen chlamydia trachomatis(CT) infection and male infertility.Methods A total of 57 male infertility patients with CT infection in semen was selected in CT positive group and another 15 normal person in control group.Chlamydia trachomatis was detected by using immunochromatography.Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase enzyme(TdT)-road deoxynucleotidyl in situ end labeling(TUNEL) and Wright-Gimsa staining were used to detect cell apoptosis.The shape of apoptotic sperms were observed by methods of conventional cell morphology and transmission electron microscope.Results Sperm apoptosis rate in CT positive group and control group was(33.03±14.98)% and(9.68±2.78)% respectively(P0.01).Sperm apoptosis was correlated with infertile time,whereas negative correlated with semen volume,sperm density,sperm vigour and normal morphology(P0.01).Conclusions CT infection of semen may lead to an increase of sperm apoptosis.The high rate of apoptosis was correlated with long infertile time,few number of sperm,worse vitality of sperm and low rate of normal shape.

Abstract: Objective To analyze the integration state of human papillomavirus(HPV)16、18 in cervical lesions,and investigate the relation between HPV DNA integration and the development of cervical cancer.Methods Multplex PCR with specific primers for HPV16 and HPV18 E2/E6 genes was used to assess the viral integration state.Scion Image 4.0 electrophoresis image analysis soft was used to calculate the area of electrophoresis product.Results HPV16 infection were found in 49 patients(90.74%).Episomal states existed in 28 cases chronic cervicitis exclusively.The prevalence of integrated form was 37.5% in the patients of situ carcinomalate,71.4% in micro invasive carcinom,and 100% in the stage of cervical cancer,with significant differences between any 2 groups(P0.01)。 Conclusion HPV DNA integration rate increase with cervical injury.HPV DNA integration may be a key event in cervical carcinogenesis.Detecting the integration state of HPV DNA can predict the character of cervical cytopathics.

Abstract: Objective To analyze the clinical popularity of methecillin resistant staphy locccus aureus(MRSA) and detection of disinfectant-resistant gene qacA in our hospital,so as to provide evidence to guide the clinical rational use of disinfectants and decrease the hospital infection.Methods 45 strains of MRSA were collected from patients in the Frist Hospital of Heibei Medical University during January 2007 to July 2008,and the gene qacA were determined by PCR.Results The expression of gene qacA was detected in 18 strains of MRSA(40%).The detection rate of respiration department and empyrosis department were much higher,accounting 13%and 16%.Conclusions Separation rate of MRSA and positive rate of gene qacA are high in respiration department and empyrosis department,which maybe the primary mechanisms for disinfectant resistance.We should select rational disinfectant according the detection of gene qacA.

Abstract: Objective To study the changes of serum matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9),IL-6,TNF-α at different times and its relation with lesion edema in the cerebral hemorrhage patients.Methods Serum MMP-9,IL-6,TNF-α levels in 80 cases of cerebral hemorrhage patients(observation group) 24 h,72 h,7 d and 14 d after cerebral hemorrhage were measured by radioimmunity methods,and their respective focal edema volumes at the corresponding time were detected,and compared with 50 cases with normal physical examination(control group).Results Hydrocephalus of patients in observation group peaked at 72 h,followed by a slow decline.Serum MMP-9,IL-6 levels within 24 h were significantly increased,reached the peak at 72 h after morbidity,accorded with the peak of cerebral edema,decreased significantly after 7 d,closed to normal levels at 14 d,and were significantly higher than that of control group(P0.01).TNF-α reached to the peak level 24 h after morbidity and then gradually declined,were significantly higher at 24 h、 72 h than that of the control group(P0.01).MMP-9 was positively correlation with IL-6,TNF-α,hematoma volume,edema volume,edema ratio,the degree of deterioration of the conditions at 24 h and 72 h(P0.01).Conclusions Serum MMP-9,cytokines(IL-6,TNF-α) are over-expressed and have the dynamic changes over time after cerebral hemorrhage,MMP-9 is correlated with the edema volume and deteriorated condition and has more stronger correlation with relative size of edema.MMP-9,IL-6,TNF-α involve in the formation of edema and influence each other.

Abstract: Objective To observe the levels of serum Apelin in patients with sepsis.Methods A prospective and observational study was underwent in patients with sepsis who admitted to intensive care unit(ICU).Blood samples were collected daily and APACHEⅡscores were calculated daily.The concentration of serum Apelin was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).According to the data of serum Apelin measured at every stage,48 patients were divided into three groups:sepsis group,severe sepsis group and septic shock group,and 20 healthy controlled people were detected and compared.Results The levels of serum Apelin in sepsis group,severe sepsis group and septic shock group were significantly higher than those in control group,the difference was significant(P0.01).The level of serum Apelin was significantly higher in septic shock group when compared with sepsis group and severe sepsis group,the difference was significant(P0.05).The severity of patients rose gradually when the levels of serum Apelin increased.The levels of serum Apelin did not contribute to APACHEⅡscores.Conclusions The level of serum Apelin in patients changs with sepsis serious degree,Which may provide a clue of diagnosing sepsis.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the changes of calcium and magnesium in cerebrospinal fluid in children with viral encephalitis and its clinical significance.Methods The levels of calcium and magnesium in serum and cerebrospinal fluid were determined in 112 children with viral encephalitis,including 72 cases with mild viral encephalitis and 40 cases with severe viral encephalitis in the acute stage.There were 106 children without viral encephalitis served as normal controls.Results The levels of calcium and magnesium in cerebrospinal fluid and the levels of magnesium in serum in children with viral encephalitis were lower than those of control group(all P0.01).The levels of calcium and magnesium in cerebrospinal fluid and the levels of calcium and magnesium in serum in children with severe viral encephalitis were lower than those in children with mild viral encephalitis(all P0.01).Conclusions Levels of calcium and magnesium in cerebrospinal fluid and that of magnesium in serum drop significantly in children with viral encephalitis during their acute stage.The more serious the disease is,the lower the levels come to be.
