Abstract
Magnetoelectric hexaferrite Ba0.5Sr1.5Zn2Fe12O22 (BSZFO) and Ba0.5Sr1.5Zn2(Fe0.92Al0.08)12O22 (BSZFAO) were investigated by 57 Fe nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The spin-canting angles of all NMR peaks were measured to assign each peak to corresponding Fe 3+ sites. It was revealed that the spin-canting angle of Fe 3+ ions atoff-centeredoctahedraisfixedandAl 3+ ionssubstituteforFe 3+ ionsatthosesites.Thetemperaturedependence of the NMR frequency indicates that the low-temperature excitation is spin wave in ferromagnetic phase.
