TLDR
There were significantly negative correlations between grain yield and height, between yield and plot spike width, and plant spread angle in winter wheat genotypes provided with high hereditability and correlative genetic advance.
Abstract
This study was conducted with 10 genotypes of winter wheat. There were significantly negative correlations between grain yield and height, between yield and plot spike width, and plant spread angle. These characters were provided with high hereditability and correlative genetic advance, and can be regarded as important criteria of selection in high-yield-breeding.

Genetic analysis of plant height and its components in diallel crosses of bread wheat ('Triticum aestivum' L.)

TL;DR: Results concluded that selection for plant height and its components would be effective in early generation and might be helpful for wheat breeders trying to develop new varieties with semi-dwarf and lodging resistance.
