TLDR
In this paper, the dynamical properties of a thin-walled circular cylindrical shell in contact with a compressible inviscid fluid are studied, and the effects of fluid compressibility on the natural frequencies of the shell and on the critical flow velocities are especially discussed.

Vibrations of circular cylindrical shells with nonuniform constraints, elastic bed and added mass; part ii: shells containing or immersed in axial flow

TL;DR: In this article, a computer program DIVA has been developed to take into account a flowing fluid, a mean radial pressure and initial pre-stress in circular cylindrical shells.

Effect of geometric imperfections on non-linear stability of circular cylindrical shells conveying fluid

TL;DR: In this paper, both the Sanders-Koiter nonlinear theory and the non-linear theory for cylindrical shells conveying incompressible flow were used to simulate the conditions of experimental tests in a water tunnel.

A coupled smoothed finite element method (S-FEM) for structural-acoustic analysis of shells

TL;DR: In this paper, a coupled smoothed finite element method (S-FEM) is developed to deal with the structural-acoustic problems consisting of a shell configuration interacting with the fluid medium.

Vibration of shells

TL;DR: In this paper, the vibrational characteristics and mechanical properties of shell structures are discussed, including the fundamental equations of thin shell theory, the characteristics of thin circular cylindrical shells, the complicating effects of noncircular cylinders, the properties of spherical shells and the solution of three-dimensional equations of motion for cylinders.

Dynamics and stability of coaxial cylindrical shells containing flowing fluid

TL;DR: In this article, an analytical model for the dynamics and stability of coaxial cylindrical shells conveying incompressible or compressible fluid in the inner shell and in the annulus between the two shells is presented.

Vibration of a Cylindrical Shell in an Acoustic Medium

TL;DR: In this article, the response to forced vibration of an infinitely long thin cylindrical shell, surrounded by a fluid extending to infinity and containing the fluid, was considered, and numerical results showed the variation of these resonant frequencies with the number of circumferential waves, the ratio of the axial wavelength to the mean radius of the shell.
