The management of industry–university joint research projects: how do partners coordinate and control R&D activities?

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison of coordination and control systems implemented in six industry-university joint research projects highlights that planning and mutual adjustment practices are combined in different ways to manage R&D cooperation, and equivocality provides incentives for group coordination mode and reduces the need of informal ongoing monitoring and reciprocal interdependence among partners.

WAQF accounting and management in Indonesian WAQF institutions: The cases of two WAQF foundations

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined accounting and management practices in two Indonesian awqaf institutions and found that ABC shows more efficient management and greater transparency and accountability than XYZ due to the presence of Islamically committed professionals in the former, despite the better accounting information system and more qualified personnel in the latter.

Processes of knowledge creation in knowledge-intensive firms: Empirical evidence from Boston's Route 128 and Spain

TL;DR: In this article, two empirical tests with firms from the Boston's Route 128 and from Spain, in order to describe their particular and real knowledge creation processes in comparison to the SECI model, reveal that there is no generally and unique way of learning, but knowledge creation seems to be conditioned by context-based considerations.
