Maternal mentalization affects mothers' - but not children's - weight via emotional eating.

TL;DR: It is found that obese mothers’ mentalization (Reflective Functioning Scale) was similar to that of mothers with normal weight and that mentalization showed no direct effect on the child’s weight, however, hints of an indirect influence of mentalization via emotional eating on mothers” but not on children”s weight and via mother–child attachment (Attachment Q-Set) on children's weight are found.

The role of friendships among Latino male adolescent immigrants who are unauthorized
TL;DR: Tassara et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the role of friendships in the lives of this growing and vulnerable population: Latino male adolescent immigrants who are unauthorized, and found that friends are important because they provide advice and help youth navigate the new environment, help youth feel part of a group, influence them in both positive and negative ways, and are not completely trusted ang family is seen as the primary source of emotional support.

The influence of early environment in the development of neurosis and neurotic character
