Journal ArticleDOI

Restoration of mandibular jaw defects in the rabbit by subperiosteally implanted Teflon mantle leaf.

TL;DR: It seems as if subperiosteally implanted mantle-leaf cover prevents formation of a fibrous scar tissue and allows the bone regeneration to proceed and fill up the two-wall defects completely.
Journal ArticleDOI

Percutaneous bone grafting in the treatment of the delayed union and non-union of tibial fractures.

TL;DR: Percutaneous bone grafting appeared to be as effective as open techniques, and possessed considerable advantages, and is safe, time saving and economical, it involves minimal trauma at the fracture site and it avoids major donor site problems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Autoclaved autograft bone combined with vascularized bone and bone marrow.

TL;DR: Improving the results of autoclaved autograft bone by combining it with a vascularized bone graft and supplementing it with autogenous bone marrow for replacement of a 2-cm tibial defect in the rabbit model resulted in rapid new bone formation all around the autoclave bone, early revascularization and incorporation of the Autoclaves, and a significantly improved torsional stiffness of the reconstruction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Autogenous bone graft procedures for atrophic edentulous mandibles.

TL;DR: Using a joint oral surgery-prosthodontic team approach, five patients with extreme atrophy of the edentulous mandible were selected for augmentation of the mandible with autogenous bone grafts from the crest of the ilium with few postoperative complications.
