Cementoblastoma: an innocuous neoplasm? A clinicopathologic study of 44 cases and review of the literature with special emphasis on recurrence.

TL;DR: Because recurrence and continued growth are possible if lesional tissue remains after initial surgery, appropriate treatment should consist of removal of the lesion along with the affected tooth or teeth, followed by thorough curettage or peripheral ostectomy.

Cementoblastoma and osteoblastoma: a comparison of histologic features.

TL;DR: Histologically, CB and OB had the same appearance including peripheral spiculae rimmed by swollen blasts which indicates that the diagnosis CB should not be made unless the lesion is connected with a tooth.

Cementoblastoma. A clinical-pathologic study of seven new cases.

TL;DR: Results of a clinicopathologic study of seven cases of cementoblastoma revealed a narrow age distribution of 15 to 22 years, a tendency for the tumor to cause pain or discomfort, and relatively consistent radiographic findings showing central mottled opacity with a well-demarcated radiolucent border of variable width.
Journal ArticleDOI

Focal sclerosing osteomyelitis/focal periapical osteopetrosis: Radiographic patterns

TL;DR: Forty-one histologically documented instances of focal sclerosing osteomyelitis and focal periapical osteopetrosis have been evaluated for radiomorphologic characteristics and an irritational origin can usually be detected in chronic sclerotherapy.

Benign fibro‐osseous jaw lesions of periodontal membrane origin. An analysis of 249 cases

TL;DR: An analysis of the clinical, radiographic, histologic and follow‐up data on 249 cases of lesions of periodontal membrane origin is presented, finding that fibrous dysplasia has often been misused as a diagnostic term and was found not to be prevalent as a fibro‐osseous jaw lesion.
