TLDR
An explicit finite volume TVD (MUSCL) formulation of the Roe's Approximate Riemann Solver is presented for the solution of three-dimensional Euler and Navier-Stokes equations as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract
An explicit finite volume TVD (MUSCL) formulation of the Roe's Approximate Riemann Solver is presented for the solution of three-dimensional Euler and Navier-Stokes equations. It is shown to provide accurate solutions of 3D inviscid and viscous high speed flows past blunt body configurations of practical interest.

A polydisperse model for bubbly two-phase flow around a surface ship

TL;DR: In this paper, the Boltzmann equation for the bubble mass probability density function is evaluated using a multigroup approach with groups of constant bubble mass, and the intergroup transfer mechanisms are bubble breakup, coalescence and the dissolution of air into the ocean, and their effects on the two-phase flow field are analyzed.

The interaction of background ocean air bubbles with a surface ship

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-fluid model suitable for the calculation of the two-phase flow field around a naval surface ship is presented, which couples the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations with equations for the evolution of the gas-phase momentum, volume fraction and bubble number density.

A center-averaged two-fluid model for wall-bounded bubbly flows

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-fluid model is proposed that involves a particle-center-averaging procedure for the dispersed phase, and a reinterpretation and post-processing of the results obtained.

A Two-Way Coupled Polydispersed Two-Fluid Model for the Simulation of Air Entrainment Beneath a Plunging Liquid Jet

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a computational multi-phase fluid dynamics (CMFD)-based approach for analyzing the entrainment process of a plunging liquid jet with a diameter of 24mm and a velocity around 3.5m/swas performed.

An Improved Roe Scheme for Real Gas Flows

TL;DR: In this paper, a Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes code has been developed for this purpose employing an improved Roe scheme which is very robust and does not require any entropy x. The present work emphasises numerical simulation of hypersonic o w with chemical non-equilibrium.

Self adjusting grid methods for one-dimensional hyperbolic conservation laws☆

TL;DR: It is shown how to automatically adjust the grid to follow the dynamics of the numerical solution of hyperbolic conservation laws using Godunov's and Roe's methods on a self-adjusting mesh.
