Abstract

Linear Second-Order Unification and Context Unification with tree-regular constraints

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that linear second-order unification can be reduced to context unification with tree-regular constraints, and that context unification is a restriction of linear secondorder unification.

A Survey of Artificial Intelligence Research at the IIIA

TL;DR: The IIIA focuses on a few well-defined sub-domains of Artificial Intelligence, positively avoiding dispersion and keeping a good balance between basic research and applications, and paying particular attention to training PhD students and technology transfer.

TL;DR: The principles of the fuzzy logic programming are presented by a couple of proposals that are representatives of the advances in this field and also the description of another systems of logic programming with uncertain information that are based on other logics of uncertainty which are different from fuzzy logic.

Monoidal t-norm based logic : towards a logic for left-continuous t-norms

TL;DR: This paper investigates a weaker logic, MTL, which is intended to cope with the tautologies of left-continuous t-norms and their residua, and completeness of MTL with respect to linearly ordered MTL-algebras is proved.

Case-Based Decision Theory

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a case-based decision-making model in which cases are primitive, and provide a simple axiomatization of a decision rule that chooses a "best" act based on its past performance in similar cases.
