TLDR
In this article, the damping constants of resonant bubbles are extended to the off-resonance case and it is shown that thermal damping is important for bubbles driven below resonance, and radiation damping for those above resonance.Abstract:
Results obtained by Devin [J. Acoust. Soc. Amer. 31, 1654–1667 (1959)] for the damping constants of resonant bubbles are extended to the off‐resonance case. Calculated results show for the range of conditions considered that thermal damping is important for bubbles driven below resonance, and radiation damping is important for those above resonance.read more

An experimental study of choked foam flows in a convergent-divergent' nozzle
N. Sandhu,Graeme J. Jameson +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the flow of a foam in a convergent-divergent nozzle and showed that the results were in very good agreement with a homogeneous frictionless nozzle flow theory, assuming isothermal behaviour of the gas and no relative motion between the phases.

Sound speed in bubbly water at megahertz frequencies
TL;DR: In this article, an expression for the complex speed of sound in a bubbly medium is given without the use of the lumped constant approximation, where k is the wavenumber and a the radius of the bubble.

TL;DR: In this article, a non-linearite of l'onde acoustique is examined numeriquement dans a geometrie monodimensionnelle, a l'aide d'un code de calcul par elements finis developpe a cet effet.

Eigenmodal resonances of polydisperse bubble systems on a rigid boundary
TL;DR: It was found that the symmetric mode resonance frequency of the bubble system decreased with increasing r=R(02)/R(01), where R(01) and R(02) are the equilibrium radii of bubbles in the system.
