TLDR
In this article, the damping constants of resonant bubbles are extended to the off-resonance case and it is shown that thermal damping is important for bubbles driven below resonance, and radiation damping for those above resonance.Abstract:
Results obtained by Devin [J. Acoust. Soc. Amer. 31, 1654–1667 (1959)] for the damping constants of resonant bubbles are extended to the off‐resonance case. Calculated results show for the range of conditions considered that thermal damping is important for bubbles driven below resonance, and radiation damping is important for those above resonance.read more

Attenuation and dispersion of sound in bubbly fluids via the Kramers—Kronig relations
TL;DR: In this article, a simple but approximate procedure is used to obtain from these equations the phase speed of sound waves for the case when the attenuation coefficient is independently known, which can be used to estimate the speed of propagation of sound wave in acoustic media having internal dissipation, but is here applied only to fluids containing radially pulsating bubbles.

Upper ocean bubble measurements from the NE Pacific and estimates of their role in air‐sea gas transfer of the weakly soluble gases nitrogen and oxygen
TL;DR: In this paper, the upper-ocean bubble clouds and dissolved gaseous nitrogen (N2) and oxygen (O2) from three winter storms are presented and analyzed.

Bubble growth within the skin by rectified diffusion might play a significant role in sonophoresis.
TL;DR: A mathematical model has been formulated, in which permeability enhancement of the SC is linked to channels, possibly created by means of rectified diffusion, which predicts that Rectified diffusion might be one of the factors that lead to sonophoresis during ultrasound treatment.

Using the ultrasonic wave transmission method to study the setting behavior of foamed concrete
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the possibility of using ultrasonic wave transmission method to study the setting behavior of foamed concretes (FC), and relate Ultrasonic wave parameters to foamed concrete setting times.
Derivation of the Rayleigh-Plesset equation in terms of volume
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived the Rayleigh-Plesset equation in terms of the bubble volume from first principles in such a way that it has the same physics for dissipation (viscous shear) as is used in the radius frame.
