Single subject prediction of brain disorders in neuroimaging: Promises and pitfalls.

TL;DR: There is extensive evidence showing the great potential of neuroimaging data for single subject prediction of various disorders, however, the main bottleneck of this exciting field is still the limited sample size, which could be potentially addressed by modern data sharing models such as the ones discussed in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gender differences in the prevalence of nonsuicidal self-injury: A meta-analysis

TL;DR: The results showed that across studies women were significantly more likely to report a history of NSSI than men, and Moderator analyses showed that the gender difference was larger for clinical samples, compared to college/community samples, and there was not a significant relation between age and effect size.
Journal ArticleDOI

Risk factors that predict future onset of each DSM-5 eating disorder: Predictive specificity in high-risk adolescent females.

TL;DR: Results provide support for the theory that pursuit of the thin Ideal and the resulting body dissatisfaction, dieting, and unhealthy weight control behaviors increase risk for binge/purge spectrum eating disorders, but suggest that youth who are inherently lean, rather than purposely pursuing the thin ideal, are at risk for AN.
Journal ArticleDOI

Screening and comorbidity of clinical levels of fear of cancer recurrence

TL;DR: The goals of this study were to assess the capacity of the Fear of Cancer Recurrence Inventory severity subscale, to consider a shorter form of the FCRI (FCRI-SF), to screen for clinical levels of FCR, and to assess its psychiatric comorbidity.
