Digital speckle technique applied to flow visualization

TLDR
The investigation shows that these three digital speckle techniques provide an excellent method for visualizing flow fields and for measuring density distributions in fluid mechanics and thermal flows.

Nucleate boiling on nanostructured surfaces using molecular dynamics simulations

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared three types of surfaces, namely smooth, concave structured, and convex structured, to investigate the mechanism of nucleate boiling via molecular dynamics simulations, and showed that nanostructured surfaces enhance bubble nucleation compared to smooth surfaces, provide fixed nucleation sites for initial embryo generation and shorten incipient nucleation time.

Fringe Pattern Analysis in Wavelet Domain

TL;DR: A full-field technique for single fringe pattern analysis based on wavelet transform is presented, realizing the modulation process numerically by combining the fringe pattern and its quadrature generated analytically by spiral phase transform.

Dynamic digital speckle interferometry applied to optical diagnosis of gas-liquid phase change

TL;DR: In this paper, a Dynamic Digital Speckle Interferometry (DDSI) is applied to optical diagnosis of gas-liquid phase change in freon R13, which can automatically eliminate the effect of the density nonuniformity of the optical windows of test section on the density measurement.
