Journal ArticleDOI

High energy radiation grafting of fluoropolymers

TL;DR: A review of recent studies of high energy radiation grafting of fluoropolymers and of the analytical methods available to characterize the grafts can be found in this article, where the authors present a review of their work.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation of ion-exchange membranes by grafting acrylic acid into pre-irradiated polymer films—1. grafting into polyethylene

B.D. Gupta, +1 more
TL;DR: The grafting of acrylic acid on radiation peroxidized Teflon-FEP films exhibits features differing from those observed when grafting the monomer on polyethylene films as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of solvents on radiation‐induced grafting of styrene onto fluorinated polymer films

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of solvents on radiation-induced grafting of styrene onto commercial fluorinated polymer films such as poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE), poly(Tetraflamethylene-co-hexafluoropropylene) (FEP) and poly(toplastic polyamide (PFA) was investigated by a simultaneous irradiation technique, and the maximum degree of grafting was achieved at a monomer/solvent mixture having a composition of 60:40.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigations and characterization of radiation grafted copolymers for possible practical use in waste water treatment

TL;DR: In this paper, a trial has been made on the radiation graft copolymerization of binary monomers possessing anionic and cationic exchangers such as acrylic acid/2- and 4-vinyl pyridine (AAc/2)-VPs onto available commercial polymeric substrate such as low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
