Rates of reaction between 3-methyl-1p-tolytriazene and benzoic acid were measured with variation of pressure in chloroform and acetonitrile. Activation volumes were found to be–15 and–4 cm3 mol−1, respectively. The reaction mechanism is discussed in the context of these values.read more
