Journal ArticleDOI

The Accuracy of Commercial Electrical Measurements

TL;DR: In this paper, the accuracy required in commercial electrical measurements, and the means of obtaining it, namely, proper choice, installation, use, and maintenance of instruments, are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

IV---The Use of the Dynamometer Wattmeter for Measuring the Dielectric Power Loss and Power Factor of the Insulation of High-Tension Lead-Covered Cables

TL;DR: The use of the dynamometer wattmeter for measuring the dielectric power loss and power factor of cable and capacitor insulation is not new, but dates from about 1890 as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Survey of Bushing-Type Current Transformers for Metering Purposes

TL;DR: The BUSHING-type current transformer as mentioned in this paper is a simple transformer with exceptional simplicity, convenience, reliability, adaptability to the highest voltages, and economy, but it has been disappointing in the first requirement of accuracy: accuracy as to the ratio and phase angle of the indicated current, especially to the smaller line currents.
