Journal ArticleDOI

ESR Study of Polyazine Anions

TL;DR: In this article, the mechanism of N14 hyperfine interactions in polyazine anion radicals is discussed in terms of earlier theories of C13 interaction, and π−electron spin density on nearest neighbor N atoms affects aN strongly, whereas on nearest neighbour C atoms it does not.
Journal ArticleDOI

The UV Spectra and Their Calculation of TCNQ and Its Mono- and Di-valent Anion

TL;DR: In this paper, the electronic absorption and emission spectra of TCNQ and its mono-and divalent anions were measured and an SCMO CI calculation in the PPP approximation was performed with one set of parameters for the three species yielding good agreement with experiment.
Journal ArticleDOI

14N Hyperfine Structure in ESR Spectra of Heterocyclic Anions

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the 14N hfs splitting constant depends not only on the π spin density at the nitrogen site, but also on the spin densities at the nearest neighbor carbon atoms (ρC1π and ρC2π, respectively).

Electron spin resonance studies of semiquinones and related nitrogen heterocyclic molecules in acid solution

TL;DR: In this article, electron spin resonance (E.S.R) spectra have been obtained from several semiquinones in strongly acidic media, where they exist as doubly protonated species.
