Abstract
The project developed statistical tools for the application of decision theory and operations research methods, including cost-benefit analysis, to the DQO process for environmental clean up. A pilot study was conducted, using these methods at the Hanford site, to estimate vadose zone contamination plumes under the SX tank farm, and to help plan further sampling.

TL;DR: The originality of using conditional simulation techniques with regard to spectral analysis techniques is presented in the third point, and the simulation technique proposed (turning-bands method) consists of simulating on lines and then turning these lines in three-dimensional space.

A Composite Likelihood Approach to Binary Spatial Data

TL;DR: In this article, a computationally simple method for estimation and prediction using binary or indicator data in space is proposed based on pairwise likelihood contributions, and the large-sample properties of the estimators are obtained in a straightforward manner.
