Importance of estrus on pregnancy per insemination in suckled Bos indicus cows submitted to estradiol/progesterone-based timed insemination protocols.

TLDR
Cows that displayed estrus had better ovarian responses (i.e., larger follicles at TAI, a greater ovulation rate, larger CL, and greater P4 concentrations) following an estradiol/P4-based synchronization protocol.

History, evolution and perspect ives of timed artificial in semination programs in Brazil

TL;DR: The correct incorporation of TAI programs within the farm routine enhances reproductive efficiency of livestock to increase overall productivity of the farm unit.

Induction of ovarian follicular wave emergence and ovulation in progestin-based timed artificial insemination protocols for Bos indicus cattle

TL;DR: Evaluating the efficacy of different inducers of new follicular wave emergence (FWE) and ovulation in fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) synchronization protocols using norgestomet ear implants (NORG) in Bos indicus cattle found that either the use of EB, EC or GnRH as ovulation induction hormones may be successful in B. indicus cows.

Improved fertility in suckled beef cows ovulating large follicles or supplemented with long-acting progesterone after timed-AI

TL;DR: In this article, the effects and the interaction of size of preovulatory follicle (POF) and long-acting progesterone (P4) supplementation after timed-AI on CL function and pregnancy success in beef cows were evaluated.

The Receptive Endometrial Transcriptomic Signature Indicates an Earlier Shift from Proliferation to Metabolism at Early Diestrus in the Cow

TL;DR: The periovulatory endocrine milieu regulates bovine endometrial transcriptome and seems to determine the transition from a proliferation-permissive to a biosynthetic and metabolically active endometrium phenotype, which may be associated with the preparation of an optimally receptive uterine environment.

The effect of embryonic death rates in cattle on the efficacy of estrus synchronization programs

TL;DR: Improvements in reproductive programs in the future will have to focus on enhancing fertilization rates and minimizing embryonic losses to optimize conception rates in dairy and beef cattle.

Relationship between follicle size at insemination and pregnancy success.

TL;DR: Administration of GnRH to induce ovulation likely initiates a preovulatory gonadotropin surge before some dominant follicles attain physiological maturity, which has a negative impact on pregnancy rates and late embryonic/fetal survival in cattle.

The use of hormonal treatments to improve reproductive performance of anestrous beef cattle in tropical climates.

TL;DR: The addition of an eCG treatment at the time of device removal, which increased plasma progesterone concentrations and pregnancy rates in anestrous postpartum suckled B. indicus cows, may be useful to improve reproductive performance of beef cattle in tropical climates.

Pattern and manipulation of follicular development in Bos indicus cattle.

TL;DR: Exogenous control of luteal and follicular development facilitates the application of assisted reproductive technologies in B. indicus cattle by offering the possibility of planning AI programs without the necessity of oestrus detection and without sacrificing the overall results.
