Journal ArticleDOI

Is the Penman–Monteith model adapted to predict crop transpiration under greenhouse conditions? Application to a New Guinea Impatiens crop

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the performance of the PM model with the Direct Method model in the case of a New Guinea Impatiens crop in order to identify which modifications should be introduced to improve its efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxyfertigation of a greenhouse tomato crop grown on rockwool slabs and irrigated with treated wastewater: Oxygen content dynamics and crop response

TL;DR: Overall, it appears that oxygen deficiency conditions did not occur as the substrate DO values were higher than, or about, 3mgL-1 throughout most of the tomato crop cycle for both treatments and the rockwool slabs maintained good aeration conditions throughout the whole cycle.
Journal ArticleDOI

HortSyst: A dynamic model to predict growth, nitrogen uptake, and transpiration of greenhouse tomatoes

TL;DR: The HortSyst model as discussed by the authors is a new discrete time model for describing the dynamics of photo-thermal time (PTI), total dry matter production (DMP), N uptake (Nup), leaf area index (LAI), and evapotranspiration (ETc) for greenhouse crops.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxygen enrichment of nutrient solution of substrate-grown vegetable crops under Mediterranean greenhouse conditions: oxygen content dynamics and crop response

TL;DR: In this article, the seasonal dynamics of the substrate oxygen content and the response to oxygen enrichment of nutrient solution (oxyfertigation) of autumn-winter sweet pepper and spring melon crops grown on rockwool slabs and perlite grow-bags were compared to non-enriched crops.

Élaboration d'un modèle du climat distribué à l'échelle de l'abri et de la plante en cultures ornementales sous serres : analyse des transferts de masse et de chaleur, bilans énergétiques

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a model for simulating the evolution of the climate in a 2D environment, in the presence of chauffage and of diurnes or of a rayonnement solaire.
