Tectonique et microtectonique des séries cristallophylliennes du Haut-Allier et de la vallée de la Truyère : contribution du microscope électronique à transmission à l'étude de la déformation des minéraux dans les zones profondes

TL;DR: In this article, two ensembles petrologiques differents sont distingues, de haut en bas, of the Massif Central region of the world, and the authors propose two solutions: (a) L'eau provient du manteau (ce qui traduit une importante activite hydrothermale); (b) Ces roches de facies granulite.

Properties and failure modes of incandescent tungsten filaments

TL;DR: In this paper, the behavior of doped tungsten filaments is discussed with particular reference to the life-controlling processes in incandescent lamps, and it is suggested that, in addition to the nonuniform evaporation of the filament owing to local defects, other mechanisms, like migration and growth of the potassium-filled bubbles within the wire, and grain-boundary sliding promoted by an unfavourable grain shape, may also contribute to the failure of incandesc lamps.
