Shear Strength of Continuous Lightly Reinforced Concrete Joist Systems
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the shear strength of continuous lightly reinforced concrete joist systems and found that significant load sharing occurs between the joists, but that the load sharing is adequate only to distribute local overloads.
ReportDOI
Performance-Related Specifications for Concrete Bridge Superstructures, Volume 3: Nonmetallic Reinforcement
TL;DR: In this paper, the behavior of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforced concrete structures with an emphasis on bond and shear was investigated, and the results indicated that the use of FRP reinforcement leads to lower bond strength and therefore requires longer development lengths.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rissreibung in Biegeschubrissen
TL;DR: In this article , the bestimmung der Querkrafttragfähigkeit of Stahl-and Spann-Beton-bauteilen ohne Schubbewehrung wurden zahlreiche Rechenmodelle entwickelt.
Journal ArticleDOI
The shear resistance of a member without shear reinforcement according to Eurocode 2; the error of the calculated value and the mechanical explanation of the problem.
TL;DR: In this paper, the shear resistance of a member without shear reinforcement according to Eurocode 2 is investigated based on experimental investigations, and it is verified that in case of non-prestressed reinforced concrete member without stirrups, the hear resistance is carried by the shears resistance of the compressive zone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selected Shear Models Based on the Analysis of the Critical Shear Crack for Slender Concrete Beams without Shear Reinforcement
Monika Kaszubska,Renata Kotynia +1 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors present four theoretical models for calculating the shear capacity of the collected test database and the authors own research program, which contained 29 single-span, simply supported T-section beams reinforced with steel and glass fiber-reinforcement polymer (GFRP) bars.
