TLDR
In this paper, Lagrangian Probability Distributions (LPD) models are used to estimate the probability of Lagrangians for a given set of properties. But the Lagrange Probability Models (LPM) model is not suitable for general LPDs.

Multivariate Hawkes processes

TL;DR: This thesis addresses theoretical and practical questions arising in connection with multivariate, marked, linear Hawkes processes, including the calculation of moment measures; and the existence and uniqueness of stationary solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Parametric methods for anomaly detection in aggregate traffic

TL;DR: The proposed bivariate parametric detection mechanism (bPDM) uses a sequential probability ratio test, allowing for control over the false positive rate while examining the tradeoff between detection time and the strength of an anomaly, yielding a bivariate model that eliminates most false positives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling overdispersed or underdispersed count data with generalized Poisson integer-valued GARCH models

TL;DR: In this paper, a generalized Poisson INGARCH model is proposed to account for both overdispersion and underdispersing in time series of counts, which can be used to analyze the autocorrelation structure and derive expressions for moments of order 1 and 2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Discrete Gamma Distributions: Properties and Parameter Estimations

TL;DR: In this article, a two-parameter discrete gamma distribution is derived corresponding to the continuous two parameters gamma distribution using the general approach for discretization of continuous probability distributions and a few important distributional and reliability properties of the proposed distribution are examined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analytical models of probability distribution and excess noise factor of solid state photomultiplier signals with crosstalk

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed analytical models of probability distribution and excess noise factor (ENF) of SSPM signals based on the Borel distribution as an advance on the geometric distribution models.
