TLDR
In this paper, a tensile test of unwelded and electron-beam-welding sintered molybdenum sheets, in which carbon was doped or not, was performed by means of scanning electron microscopy to determine the fracture mode of the specimen and observe the distribution of precipitates over grain boundaries.

Microstructure evolution and embrittlement of electron beam welded TZM alloy joint

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of microstructure evolution on mechanical properties of a molybdenum-titanium-zirconium (TZM) alloy joint welded by electron beam welding (EBW) was examined by electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Effect of aging after carbon doping on the ductility of molybdenum

TL;DR: In this paper, the low temperature tensile properties of undoped specimens and specimens doped with up to 55 wt.ppm C before and after aging at 600 or 1500°C were examined.

Effect of carbon on the tensile properties of Nb–Mo–W alloys at 1773 K

TL;DR: In this paper, the deformation and fracture behavior of carbon-doped Nb-5Mo-15W alloys were investigated by tensile and compression tests at 1773 K. The deformation changes from transgranular to intergranular with increasing molybdenum and tungsten contents.

Influence of welding speed on microstructures and mechanical properties of vacuum electron beam welded TZM alloy joints

TL;DR: In this paper, a color etching method was performed to obtain the orientation and phase distribution on weld zones (WZs) of the TZM joints welded at different welding speeds.

The ductile-brittle transition in polycrystalline molybdenum

TL;DR: In this article, the fracture stress at the ductile-brittle transition temperature of polycrystalline molybdenum was found to be constant, 64± 2 kg mm−2, as the strain rate was raised from 5 × 10−6 to 5× 10−2sec−1.

Effect of a small amount of additional carbon on the ductility of recrystallized sintered-molybdenum sheet

TL;DR: The ductility of sintered-molybdenum sheet, which had relatively fine recrystallized grains, was examined by means of bend tests at low temperature and observations made by optical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy as discussed by the authors.
