Modeling groundwater potential zones of Puruliya district, West Bengal, India using remote sensing and GIS techniques

TLDR
In this article, an attempt has been made to delineate the groundwater potenstation in a remote sensing and geographical information system (RS-GIS) based model for modeling and mapping of groundwater resources.
Abstract
Remote sensing and geographical information system (RS-GIS) have become a leading tool for modeling and mapping of groundwater resources. An attempt has been made to delineate the groundwater poten...

Groundwater potential zone mapping using analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and GIS for Kancheepuram District, Tamilnadu, India

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to identify and delineate the groundwater potential zone (GWP) which can be used to augment the groundwater source, where the parameters such as topography, geology, drainage density, geomorphology, soil, land use and land cover rainfall are generated as different layers in the GIS background and are subjected to weighted overlay analysis to obtain the potential zones of groundwater.

Combination of GIS and fuzzy-AHP for delineating groundwater recharge potential zones in the critical Goghat-II block of West Bengal, India

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors tried to show the groundwater recharge potential zones in groundwater-stressed Goghat-II block, using fuzzy-AHP technique, and found that very low, low, moderate, high and very high potentiality represent 8.98%, 34.58%, 33.51%, 12.80% and 10.13% respectively.

Groundwater potential zones for sustainable management plans in a river basin of India and Bangladesh

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed to identify potential groundwater zone based on ensemble modeling assembling advance machine learning algorithm like Random Forest (RF), Radial Basis Function (RBFnn) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and set theories like union and intersection based modeling using 15 proxyconditioning parameters for developing sustainable water resource management plan.
