Journal ArticleDOI

Overview of transition metal and lanthanide complexes as diagnostic tools

TL;DR: A review of magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents used in the study of several organ systems, including vascular structures, liver, spine and brain, heart, kidneys, skeleton, lungs and abdominal diseases is presented in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

MR imaging contrast agents — what's in a name?

TL;DR: The purpose of this brief review is to reduce the confusion surrounding the nomenclature of MRI contrast agents by providing a concise table to which readers can refer to identify the proper name to use for each of the agents that has thus far been administered to humans.
Journal ArticleDOI

Variations in the morphology, distribution, and arrangement of feathers in domesticated birds

TL;DR: Variations in the morphology, distribution and arrangement of feathers in domesticated birds require also a concern for animal welfare because certain alleles responsible for integumentary variations in domestication birds have pleiotropic effects, which often affect normal behaviour and viability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liver. III: Gadolinium-based hepatobiliary contrast agents (Gd-EOB-DTPA and Gd-BOPTA/Dimeg).

TL;DR: Preliminary results demonstrate that these contrast agents may improve the MR imaging capability to detect focal liver lesions, with a dramatic and selective increase of liver signal- to-noise ratio and lesion-liver contrast-to-Noise ratio.
