Integrated stratigraphy across the Aptian-Albian boundary in the Marnes Bleues, at the Col de Pré-Guittard, Arnayon (Drôme), and at Tartonne (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), France: a candidate Global Boundary Stratotype Section and Boundary Point for the base of the Albian Stage
William James Kennedy,Andrew S. Gale,Paul R. Bown,Michèle Caron,R.J. Davey,Darren R. Gröcke,David Wray +6 more
TL;DR: An alternative Aptian-Albian boundary, defined by the first occurrence of the ammonite Leymeriella (L.) tardefurcata (d'Orbigny, 1841) in the expanded Marnes Bleues section at Tartonne, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France, is suggested in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Micrhystridium and Veryhachium complexes (Acritarcha: Acanthomorphitae and Polygonomorphitae): a taxonomic reconsideration
Journal ArticleDOI
Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic fossil dinoflagellates and other palynomorphs from the Scotian Margin, offshore eastern Canada
TL;DR: In this article, a detailed event strati-graphical scheme for the Late Cretaceous to Cenozoic of the margin of the Scotian Margin is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
A magneto- and chemostratigraphically calibrated dinoflagellate cyst zonation of the early Palaeogene South Pacific Ocean
TL;DR: In this article, a high-resolution Southern Pacific Ocean dinocyst zonation for the late Palaeocene to late Eocene (58-36 million years ago; Ma) was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dinoflagellate diversity through time
TL;DR: It is shown that fossil dinoflagellate species diversity is a more sensitive parameter than generic diversity, and the preferential preservation of the encysted over the motile stage in dinof lagellates suggests that the diversity data may primarily represent cyst-forming species.
