Escape-Time Modified Algorithm for Generating Fractal Images Based on Petri Net Reachability

TL;DR: A new approach to computer image generation via three proposed methods for translating the evolution of a Petri net into fractal image synthesis, derived from the concept of fractal iteration principles in the escape-time algorithm and chaos game.

Performance engineering of route planning algorithms

TL;DR: A literature study of the current methodologies used in evaluating software performance was carried out to find out if those methodologies or a combination of them could be utilised in evaluating the algorithms of UpWind, including the algorithms for the route planning.

Petri nets: 1. Overview and foundations

Y. Narahari
- 01 Aug 1999 -
TL;DR: Petri nets offer a versatile modeling framework for complex, distributed, concurrent systems and have been used in a wide range of modeling applications as discussed by the authors, and the first part of this two-part article provides an overview of Petri nets and presents important conceptual underpinnings of petri net modeling.

An M/M/1 Based Modeling Approach for the Web Crawled Data

TL;DR: A 20-state M/M/1 model, a variation of Single Birth Single Death model, is applied to study the behavior of web crawled dataset for the Classification Problem and provides fairly good results by testing the algorithmic efficiency of a KanchiCrawler and to model the web crawled datasets for the classification problem.

Kommunikation mit Automaten

C. A. Petri
TL;DR: The theory of automata is shown not capable of representing the actual physical flow of information in the solution of a recursive problem and a theory of communication is proposed that yields a means of representation that with equal rigor and simplicity accomplishes more than the theory of synchronous automata.
