Journal ArticleDOI
NMR spectroscopy in the structural elucidation of oligosaccharides and glycosides.
TL;DR: The potential of one- and two-dimensional NMR techniques for the identification of individual sugar residues, their anomeric configuration, interglycosidic linkages, sequencing and the site of any appended group in establishing the structures of naturally occurring oligosaccharides and glycosides is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
13C NMR spectra of pentacyclic triterpenoids--a compilation and some salient features
Shashi B. Mahato,Asish P. Kundu +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a compilation of the 13C NMR data of a selected variety of naturally occurring pentacyclic triterpenoids, arranged skeletonwise, is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
The analysis of onion and garlic.
TL;DR: The literature about the major volatile and non-volatile phytoconstituents of onion and garlic has been reviewed, with particular attention given to the different methodology developed to perform chemical analysis, including separation and structural elucidation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lignin-ferulate cross-links in grasses: active incorporation of ferulate polysaccharide esters into ryegrass lignins
TL;DR: In this article, NMR spectroscopy of uniformly 13 C-labeled ryegrass lignins was used to demonstrate the involvement of ferulate polysaccharide esters in the cross-coupling of lignin.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification and synthesis of new ferulic acid dehydrodimers present in grass cell walls
TL;DR: In this paper, seven isomeric dehydrodimers of ferulic acid (4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic acid) have been synthesized and identified in extracts of saponified cell walls of cocksfoot, switchgrass, and suspension-cultured corn.
