Copper sorption in clay fractions of alluvial soils

TL;DR: The influence of copper sorption by iron hydroxides with different degrees of crystallization in clay fractions of several alluvial cultivated soils of the fertile lowlands of the Manzanares river (Madrid) has been studied.

Removal of ametryn from aqueous solutions with zeolite nanoparticles optimized using the box-behnken design

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the box-behnken design (BBD) of response surface methodology (RSM) for simultaneous optimization of all parameters affecting the adsorption process, including pH (6 - 8), the amount of adsorbent (0.5 - 2 g) and temperature (25 - 45°C).

Intrusions of dust and iberulites in Granada basin (Southern Iberian Peninsula). Genesis and formation of atmospheric iberulites

TL;DR: The role of bacteria and its polymeric exudates in the iberulite genesis has not been described previously, and it would explain the flux, transport and survival of tropospheric microorganisms over long distances as mentioned in this paper.

Source areas evolution in the Neogene Agost Basin (Betic Cordillera): implications for regional reconstructions

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed relationship between types of deposits and provenance and not a classic unroofing was proposed for the Agost Basin in the Betic-Rifian Arc.

Geochemical and Mineralogical Characters of the Coastal Plain Sediments of the Arabian Gulf, Kuwait

TL;DR: In this paper, detailed geochemical and mineralogical studies of the coastal plain sediments formed along the shoreline of the Arabian Gulf area, Kuwait, were conducted and the results showed that the sand composed, on average of about 90% sand, and about 10% or less is mud, and has a unimodal distribution with a mode of medium sand.
