TLDR
The Revised Dimensions of Temperament Survey (DOTS-R) as mentioned in this paper was developed to identify age-continuous features of temperament, across an age span from early childhood to late adolescence/early adulthood through the construction of a new temperament measure, the Revised Dimension of Temperaments Survey (R).
Abstract
The principal objective of this research was to identify age-continuous features of temperament, across an age span from early childhood to late adolescence/early adulthood through the construction of a new temperament measure, the Revised Dimensions of Temperament Survey (DOTS-R). Limitations of an extant temperament measure, the Dimensions of Temperament Survey (DOTS), were considered in the present scale construction research. A temperament questionnaire composed of an initial pool of 106 items was administered to three different samples-preschoolers, elementary school children, and late adolescents/early adults. The analyses included interrater agreement for content validity of items, item-total scale analyses, factor analyses, and the determination of internal consistency estimates of temperament dimensions for each sample. A nine factor model of temperament emerged for the preschool and elementary school samples, whereas a ten factor model emerged for the late adolescent/early adult sample. Supporti...

Four ways five factors are basic

TL;DR: The five-factor model has recently received wide attention as a comprehensive model of personality traits as mentioned in this paper, and the claim that these five factors represent basic dimensions of personality is based on four lines of reasoning and evidence: longitudinal and cross-observer studies demonstrate that all five factors are enduring dispositions that are manifest in patterns of behavior.

Gender differences in temperament: a meta-analysis.

TL;DR: The authors used meta-analytical techniques to estimate the magnitude of gender differences in mean level and variability of 35 dimensions and 3 factors of temperament in children ages 3 months to 13 years, finding moderate gender differences favoring girls, consistent with boys' greater incidence of externalizing disorders.

Initial Development of the Student's Life Satisfaction Scale:

TL;DR: The Student's Life Satisfaction Scale (SLSS) as discussed by the authors measures global life satisfaction in children, and was developed to measure the satisfaction of children with their daily activities and activities.

Anxiety Disorders During Childhood and Adolescence: Origins and Treatment

TL;DR: The present review summarizes the current knowledge of the development and management of anxiety in children and adolescents and describes current treatment strategies and efficacy as well as factors thought to influence treatment outcome, including treatment features, child factors, and parent factors.

The role of emotionality and regulation in children's social functioning: a longitudinal study

TL;DR: The data supported the predictions, although the findings for parent reports of problem behavior were primarily for boys, and vagal tone, a marker of physiological regulation, was positively related to competent social functioning and emotionality/regulation for Boys, but inversely related for girls.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures

TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.

A reliability coefficient for maximum likelihood factor analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a reliability coefficient is proposed to indicate quality of representation of interrelations among attributes in a battery by a maximum likelihood factor analysis, which can indicate that an otherwise acceptable factor model does not exactly represent the interrelations between the attributes for a population.

Modern factor analysis

TL;DR: The third edition of HARMAN's authoritative text as mentioned in this paper incorporates the many new advances made in computer science and technology over the last ten years The author gives full coverage to both theoretical and applied aspects of factor analysis from its foundations through the most advanced techniques This highly readable text will be welcomed by researchers and students working in psychology, statistics, economics and related disciplines

How people make their own environments: a theory of genotype greater than environment effects.

TL;DR: A theory of development in which experience is directed by genotypes is proposed, which adapts the 3 kinds of genotype-environment correlations proposed by Plomin, DeFries, and Loehlin in a developmental model used to explain results from studies of deprivation, intervention, twins, and families.
