Journal ArticleDOI

Spin–orbit relaxation kinetics of Br(4 2P1/2)

TL;DR: In this article, the rate coefficients for collisional deactivation of the spin-orbit excited state of atomic bromine, Br(4 2P1/2), were measured in a steady-state photolysis experiment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low lying electronic states of rare gas–oxide anions: Photoelectron spectroscopy of complexes of O− with Ar, Kr, Xe, and N2

TL;DR: The negative ion photoelectron spectra of the oxide anion complexes O−Rg, Rg=Ar, Kr, and Xe, and O−N2 have been recorded as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Consistent Reduced Network for HCN Chemistry in Early Earth and Titan Atmospheres: Quantum Calculations of Reaction Rate Coefficients.

TL;DR: CVT using energies computed with density functional theory as a feasible and accurate method for calculating a large network of rate coefficients of small-molecule reactions is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic study of ground state antimony atoms Sb(54S3/2) by atomic absorption spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this article, a study of the collisional behavior of ground state antimony atoms in the presence of various gases was presented, including the departure from the Beer-Lambert law using the standard modified expression Itr = I0 exp {−ϵ(cl)γ} for which it was found that γ(λ = 231.1 nm) = 0.34 ± 0.03.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deactivation of electronically excited sulfur atoms, S(3 1S0)

TL;DR: In this article, the absolute rate coefficients for removal (reaction plus collisional relaxation) of S(3 1S0) produced in the gas phase photolysis of carbonyl sulfide at 1470 nm were studied with various molecules.
