A method of adjusting monitoring parameters in a pool of data storage appliances may include receiving an event notification from a process scheduler of a monitoring system. The event notification may include an indication that a process monitoring the pool of data storage appliances has completed. The method may also include determining an event type for the event notification, and receiving one or more executable rules that are specific to the event type of the event notification. The one or more executable rules may adjust the monitoring parameters of the monitoring system with respect to the pool of data storage appliances. The method may further include executing the one or more executable rules such that the monitoring parameters of the monitoring system are adjusted.read more
