Schedule control in the rabbit

TLDR
Operant responding for water reinforcement was investigated in three New Zealand albino rabbits and the behavior of the third rabbit under an FI 1-min LH 5-sec schedule was characteristic of fixed-ratio performance.
Abstract
Operant responding for water reinforcement was investigated in three New Zealand albino rabbits. Performance of two rabbits under FR3, FR8t and FR95 schedules was similar to the performance of other organisms exposed to low- or high-value fixed-ratio reinforcement. The behavior of the third rabbit under an FI 1-min LH 5-sec schedule was characteristic of fixed-ratio performance. These data were compared with data obtained from other organisms.

The post-reinforcement pause†

TL;DR: Results indicated a consistent increase in the length of the pause as the ratio was increased, and response rate tended to decrease, but these data were less consistent and some reversals were apparent.

Self-stimulation in the rabbit: an anatomical map of stimulation effects.

TL;DR: An anatomical map of brain stimulation effects in rabbits, based on lever pressing and observational data, revealed close correspondence to the findings from other species, particularly rats.
