TLDR
In this paper, power amplifiers based on combining two power stages where one power stage supplies the bulk of the load power and the other insures high output signal quality are discussed.
Abstract
Power amplifiers based on combining two power stages where one supplies the bulk of the load power and the other insures high output signal quality are discussed. This description yields a unique parallel topology. Experimental and theoretical results shows this topology has high performance without large efficiency or hardware penalties.

Power supply providing ultrafast modulation of output voltage

TL;DR: A circuit for use with a power amplifier that amplifies an input signal is defined in this paper, where an amplitude correction circuit and an open-loop switching regulator are used to generate a corrected envelope signal from an input envelope signal.

Series- or Parallel-Connected Composite Amplifiers

TL;DR: In this article, power amplifiers based on combining two power stages where one supplies the bulk of the load power and the other ensures high output signal quality are discussed, with particular attention given to a unique parallel topology.

Design of active ripple filters for power circuits operating in the 1-10 MHz range

TL;DR: In this paper, a fundamental analysis of active ripple filters for powder circuits operating in 1-10 MHz range is presented, and improved understanding derived from this analysis allows filter circuits with gains five to ten times higher than previously reported to be built.
Journal ArticleDOI

Active Filters for 1-MHz Power Circuits with Strct Input/Output Ripple Requirements

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of active filters, in conjunction with minimal passive filters, to achieve the required ripple levels with a much smaller overall volume is discussed, and working active filters with gains in excess of 100 at 1 MHz are also presented.

Feed-Forward Scheme Considering Bandwidth Limitation of Operational Amplifiers for Envelope Tracking Power Supply Using Series-Connected Composite Configuration

TL;DR: An ET power supply consisting of a multileVEL converter in series with a linear amplifier, where the multilevel converter provides the most load power with its essential high efficiency, and the linear amplifier improves the linearity of the output voltage.

On the precise regulation of multiple outputs in a DC-DC converter with an energy-storage reactor

TL;DR: In this paper, a new method to compensate the cross-regulation errors and regulate all of the multiple output voltages precisely is presented, which makes use of an auxiliary switch in each output circuit, and therefore the additional power loss is not wasted in principle.
