Abstract
The difference between individual aggressive behaviour and group violence is discussed. While individual aggressive behaviour has a biological background and has evolutionary significance for the survival of the individual and the species, group violence, like human character, is due to cultural imprinting and is against the survival of both individuals and populations (war).
