TLDR
In this article, the Fourier transform of a function related to the visibility is exploited to specify the spectral line shape by evaluating Fourier transforms of spectral lines with and without a dispersive medium between the gratings.

Unification of formulation of moiré fringe spacing in parametric equation and Fourier analysis methods

TL;DR: Inspections of moiré fringe characteristics, such as period and orientation, conventionally are done by two approaches; namely, parametric equation and Fourier analysis methods but in some cases these methods yield different results.

Formulation of moiré fringes based on spatial averaging

TL;DR: In this article, a formulation of the moire phenomenon based on spatial averaging is presented which, without ignoring any of frequencies, leads to a smooth profile of the fringes of the original fringe pattern.

Sampling moiré method: A more exact solution

TL;DR: In this paper , the phase measurement of a grating image by using the phase of the moiré fringe from a single-shot image has been studied and it is shown that the exact magnitude of the phase shift is 2π/T, where T is the period of the grating.

Design and Construction of a Seismometer Based on the Moiré Technique: Detailed Theoretical Analysis, Experimental Apparatus, and Primary Results

TL;DR: In this paper, a vertical seismometer based on the moiré technique is presented, where one grating is attached to the suspended mass and one to the frame of the instrument, and the two gratings are in relative motion.

TL;DR: In this article, a novel technique, moire deflectometry, for ray deflection mapping is presented, which is used for diagnostics of phase objects and specular surfaces, for shearing analysis, for microscopy, and for MTF determination.
